  6. I was one of the first people there, literally heard the crash and ran down the street, rolled this poor kid over and started CPR. As an ATTGAT person yeah, I believe they both should have worn gear. Not sure if it would have saved him though because the sixteen year old girl who blasted them should have been paying attention and not ran them over when he was just trying to make a right hand turn. But whatever. Hindsight 20/20. Sent from my Z958 using Tapatalk

  8. I'll be back in the Gap area again tommorow, in the truck this time. Stopping for a night on the way home from Florida to let the kids see some of the sights and waterfalls of the area.

  9. I think he thinks you're camping and don't have a cabin/shower. He might be high also.

  10. Keep smooth on the throttle and trust what you feel. The bike will tell you if you are giving it too much.

  11. Update: Tried the balls from a zerk but they were too small kept binding up. Ended up sacrificing an old shitty ratchet to get the ball and spring from it. Perfect fit. Found some e clips at Napa and the new petcock came in yesterday. Also finished the block off plates for the emissions shit. Bike starts idles and revs nicely, haven't had opportunity to take it for a ride yet. Once I get the brakes in good shape it will be ready to sell if anyone is looking for either a great commuter bike or a good running core for a cafe or bobber project.

  12. I only have two rails on the trailer and I can't pull a large trailer. Dan was going down with me on the other spot. If you find a truck though I will help fill your trailer?

  13. I've been riding for 50+ years and I was never able to convince myself to drop that kind of cash on riding gear. Until last year when I found a like-new used RC suit for $400 on ADVR. Looked like it had been hanging in the closet it's whole life, i.e., never been farted in! I have to say that I'm still on the fence about 'needing' it. It's great for trips and touring when you're in it the entire day. Pretty comfortable and surprisingly flexible with respect to temperature extremes--not unbearably hot into the 80s and pretty warm into the 40s (altho you start to need extra inner layers below that). On the flip side, I never wear it for my day rides of 4-5 hours just because it's not as convenient as a two-piece system for the stop-n-go type of riding. Plus now that I'm old, fat and crotchety, it's more of struggle to get in and out easily....I usually look like I'm trying to escape from a kidnapping attempt as I try to wiggle out of the thing. As for fit, if you're buying new, the sizing chart will give you a pretty good idea of where to start and I'd recommend calling and talking with the staff about any custom styling you want done. Buying used, you're on your own, but if I remember you mentioning you're 6'3"ish and over 200#, make sure that you get the torso length long enough and the chest size right or you'll be uncomfortable.

  14. My next suit will most likely be an Aerostitch, Klim, or Motoport. Are you exclusively considering Aerostitch, or are you considering all of the premium mc suit manufacturers? The Darien Lights look pretty interesting to me. Jacob had a Roadcrafter 2 piece at the Epic Ride, and he was riding a CBR. It would be interesting to hear his opinion.

  18. After a little over a year back into lifting, I finally hit 3/4/5 plate on the bench/squat/dl. I used to hit these #s in college and actually looked fit. How's come this time around I still the bod of an office drone? Lol
