  1. Well I did it, got that 250lb monkey off my back. Lost 7 pounds this last week doing what I said I was going to do. Think I will stick with it through this week to make sure it stays locked in and take a couple more lbs off and hit the 50 lbs lost since February bench mark. Then it will be back to the regularly scheduled program. Here we go again....

  3. stalled out at 290 for the last few months, though with all the travel and having to eat out it could have been worse. this week started back on salads for lunch and dinner with a bit of protein mixed in. sticking around 1000-1500 calories per day this week to shock my body into loss. will probably keep this up for 10-15lbs then level off for a week or two then back on the 1000-1500 calorie burn again. aiming for 250 by february which is about 10lbs per month. i'd like to be around 230/240 by next spring which is where my losses will stop. i might be able to hit 210/220 but i would be pretty cut at that point and i'm not sure i have the dedication to spend that much time in the gym still have lost over 100lbs and kept it off for 2 years now so i'm not too bummed about my current situation. long haul, not the short road.

  7. First trip to the Metroparks with my wife. We've been doing laps in the development and thought it was time to get out. Also first time with two bikes up top. Never tested out the other bike rack since i got them off craigslist. We did a quick 10 mile ride averaging 15mph. She was pooped at the end but a good first ride. Hoping to get a few more in with her before the year is out. She's working, in school for her masters and precepting so doesn't leave much time to get out before it gets dark.

  8. I have never EVER put lock tight on a pinch or axle blot. And I've been changing tires for 20 years. Even when properly torqued I find that those bolts are hard enough to get loose on the next change and never had one come loose.

  11. Creole, Blacken and Fajita seasonings and chilli powder have been my gotos.. I agree lots of flavors make meals more fulfilling. I make a mean rotisserie chicken with chili powder and olive oil.

  12. Pretty much what I'm doing too. I just want a little booster week so to speak to make up for the last few weeks of BS I've been eating on and off.

  13. This is my good old trusty work belt I've worn this thing for prob 18 years. The 2 center holes is where I worn it for most of those years. Im down to the last holes and this week I had to poke the latest hole in it. Time before last I had to cut 6 in off the end of it because it wrapped around past my hips. So yes I'm seeing it in the mirror just not on the scale.

  14. Plus I should add I know I'm still loosing fat. Because my cloths are getting too big, just notched my belt again(like the 4 time in 9 months. I think the protein regime I was doing built up some lean muscle is why I'm not seeing it on the scale.

  15. Except for days I slip (maybe one a week). I've been doing 2000 calorie days for the last 2 months. And with my job I know I burn way more than that. My schedule has been pretty f'd up the last month so that's some to do with it. This calorie drop will just be for this week till I'm under 250.

  16. The protein thing didn't really work like I hoped, lost a few pounds but not many. This week I'm, determined to break the under 250 barrier. So cutting the calories to the extreme and kicking the cardio up 2 notches. So for the next week or two ill be shooting for between 1200-1500 calories a day and try to do at least a hour of cardio a day(be mostly on my recumbent bike) So that will be 6.5 lbs in a week. Not sure if it will work but I need to get over this hump.

  17. Changing things up a little for the diet and see if I can get off this plateau. This will be my breakfast, lunch and snack for the next couple weeks. In all there is 20 oz. Of vanilla almond milk, 2 scoops of vanilla creme protien isolate powder, 1/2 cup of oats, 6 teaspoons of fiber powder, 1/2 cup of shelled pistachios, and 2 small boxes of raisins(that will be switched to prunes but I forgot to buy them this week). Total calorie count on that counter 825, with almost no carbs or fat and all protien and fiber. We will see what happens.
