  1. That looks like a pretty good price if it's a clean title, but not one to kill yourself chasing. As I said earlier, there ain't a lot of love for the nekkids. Joe's (Scuba) '10 Z1000 http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/105284-fs-2010-kawasaki-z1000/ was on this board for a couple of months at $5500, and I had my '09 FZ1 http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/102440-2009-yamaha-fz1-graniteblk-75k-mi-new-pirellis-lots-of-aftermarket-goodies/ with just 7K miles and more aftermarket extras than the one listed above for sale here and a few other forums for $4795 late last year and it took me almost 6 months to sell it to a guy in L-ville. They are both great bikes for the price. Good luck in your search!!!

  2. 20-30 mph in the one case mentioned. Saying it's engine mounting is the source. It's just a junkie bike. Buy hey they look and sound good right.

  5. Have a gen1 fz1 and had a ninja 1000. The ninja is better handling better stock suspension and a better street motor, but not as refined as the fz1. I found myself missing the fz1 when riding the kawasaki. I decided to stay with the fz1, as it is smoother and slightly more comfortable.

  6. 47 to 16 from Parkersburg is nice, & 16 is really great around Gauley Bridge and then again south of the new river gorge area all the way into the western tip of Virginia leading up to the Marion to Tazwell "back of the dragon" section that is amazing. 421 "the snake" is near there, so is the mighty python. Both are great, 421 a little more to my likings.

  8. I can give you tons of examples of exahusts that you shouldn't lift with. Again... The TL example is fine and yes, I know some OEMs back when the exhausts were made of steel and super thick. But as Todd mentioned... You lift my bike with the exhaust and I will pull your finger nails out. There is a way to lift a bike properly and if back yard mechaics is the way people wanna go, that's totally cool. I would say that he is better to spend a little and get it done right than to have it done poorly and have issues later. I am of course not saying you wouldn't do it right. I am saying that this all started when someone thought $123 was kinda high... It isn't. I'm out. OP can have the thing lifted by the frame with a backhoe for all I care. I gave my two cents and explained it needs to be balanced and the kickstand shortened. Gave examples and opinions. All in his hands now. Cheers.

  12. I'm working and staying outside of New Martinsville. This weekend I rode most of the same section of 250 that you mentioned. It's a shame that 250 is in such bad condition because it really is a great road.I rode it back in 2007 when it had good pavement and it was a blast! You'd think it would be better taken care of since it's a major rural route, kinda like 800 in S.E.O.
