  2. Back 50 some years ago they use to teach drivers etiquette in drivers training. I think etiquette is pretty much and obsolete word in today’s society. But that would be a completely different conversation.

  3. It's called brandishing, also called losing your CHL. Not trolling, trying to educate and help you and others not get slammed and loose your licenses but hey, act a tough guy it's all good. In that encounter they did not commit a crime, but you did. All I'm saying. Do with it will hope it doesn't get you in a bind next time you do it. It would be remiss of me as an NRA instructor not to point out what you did was wrong and illegal, carry on.

  4. To throw it out there, I've taken both the VDG concealed carry class and the counter ambush tactics class. Both were excellent; Brian and Jason do a great job of teaching the class room part as well as coaching on the range. Money well spent.

  9. This ^^^ Even with a fully insulated interior, it wouldn't be enough to heat the building. Dealership I work for has liquid floor heat in the shop's dyno room and wash bay since they aren't heated, and it does nothing to regulate room temps. And these are well insulated bays, too. The rest of the shop has NG radiant and it works great. Even with bay doors going up and down all day through the winter, it keeps the shop about 65 degrees on average. No idea what company installed the systems, but it's industrial sized equip since our building has 30 ft ceilings and 26 bays, so it was definitely expensive.

  10. maybe spend money to educate instead of spending money and wasting legislative time to write a law into the books that won't/can't be effectively enforced. cops can also easily pull people over and give them a warning and that would be enough to get the word out that without pissing everyone off with actual tickets. i don't think we need a law for every little inconvenience in life.

  13. Snap judgement call or not, I think Sam did himself and his neighbors a favor spookin the whiteys away. Given the recent history of the neighborhood, a cop would've definitely stopped and had a similar chat with them as well.

  15. And the taller the truck, the more they hog the left lane. Then there are those who cruise the left lane and only speed up when you move into the right lane and try to get around them. They catch up to the vehicle ahead of you that's in your lane and then slow back down so you can't get around them. We really need a law to encourage drivers to move to the right when approached from behind by faster traffic. If it takes them more than 30 seconds to pass a vehicle, they have no business in the left lane when faster traffic is behind them. .

  18. I don't believe it's an issue to detain a criminal if a crime has been committed. A friend of mine had his house broken into. At the time of the breakin, he was literally sitting at his kitchen table sharpening an ax...really. He subdued the criminal and called the police. When the police got there, the crackhead was face down on the ground with a very sharp ax on the back of his neck. He was crying and had literally pissed himself. The police thanked him for keeping him there.
