i am on campus...there is a nice spot b/w mine and nieghbors house that kinda keeps the bike outta view. i was thinking rotor lock and bike chain. I can chain it to the deck. There is no way someone can pull a truck or anything up w.out getting notice. however, if i can find a garage around me, that is def. the way i want to go.

...where or how do you store and secure you bikes? I just got a bike but have no garage.

id recommend just getting the state min. or liability. i got a quote for 12 bucks a month on a 01 ninja 750....when i was shopping around. i fig. im not going to buy a bike till i know what insurance is going to run.

i hope to do face to face cash in hand. but i kept hearing from four different peopl with a bike im interested in that ther wanted to use ebay, so i was skeptical...thats why i came here.

...using ebay, or off of craigslist but using the ebay protection thing or whatever. i have been talking to people who are selling bikes, but they all want to use ebay "for our protection". i dont know much about this. any info would help. Thanks

Like the title says...i am going to try to show up and get in whenever i can. How is the course? How long? What bike they use?...just looking to get some info before i show up.

yea..i did a little reading on the foums. that is why i prompted the question because i did read a lot of mixed reviews. one guy would say its the best bike he hased owned with little maintence...and another would say the opposite. i found one for 3000 and am still leaning towards it...however, due to me not having the money yet, i may have to pass it up...we will see

I am familiar with tools and general construction practices. I have done habitat for humanity a few times, but that is as far legitimate experience i have. other than that, i have completed course work involving concrete and foundations, and general metal fab. ...thats the problem though. i have not had a job that involves actual construction that i can put on a resume....I am very eager to learn everything i can, for hands-on experience tops book experience anyday.
