I took the Emt-B class at Tolles Tech. I'm pretty sure they offer the 240 class as well. Unless your gonna work for a township i'd let the city pay for it, go to the academy. IMO your medic training makes you way more valuable to your employer. I've heard this from numerous guys in the field as well (I have lots of family and even more friends working for Columbus Fire). I'd focus on your I and P cert's afterwards and pursue the 240 class as time permits, and only if you can't get into the academy.

BCS selection show confirms its OSU vs UF. Sweet, this is gonna be a hell of a game.
-
IPS powder coats, not sure of their total color selection but they did a great job on various engine parts for me in a nice silver.
-
Did the camera guy have Parkinsons? Nice build, i wouldnt have chosen the same platform but to each his own. Its certainly unique.

Sale price homie, read the rules. They dont mess around here

In all fairness hes a 4g63 guy from the looks of things. He probably knows 4g's as well as I know 420a's. I wish I had a dollar for everytime I seen a newb on 2gnt ask about the 4g63 swap into a NT. If those paths I've laid out dont work out then hit me up via PM, i'll see what i can dig up.

This thread is full of sig material Looks like USC jumped scUM in the BCS, w/ a win over UCLA looks like we get a shot at them in Glendale. Since we travel so well hopefully we'll have a little of that home field advantage we saw in 02 against the U.
-
Since USC is beating the pants off Notre Dame theres a good chance they will pass scUM in the polls. It seems to be a no brainer to me based on the teams they beat in conf and a stronger out of conf schedule (bashing Arkansas and ND). Who would you rather play in the title game, USC or scUM?? USC reminds me a lot of Michigan in terms of speed on defense, and a great offense. I'd like to play USC rather a rematch b/c it would be more impressive to beat 3 seperate #2 ranked teams over the course of the season.

Jesus christ. You can swap a 4g63 into about anything if you have time and aptitude but that doesnt make it a good idea. Do yourself a favor and do not listen to 90_tsi (no offense) b/c hes giving you advice that is very ill advised. If you pay 1400 for a 420a I have some land in Florida you should look into. I took the motor out of my parts car and sold it for 250 bucks in running condition on our website. Go to 2gnt.com and look around, there are always motors/blocks for sale on there. There are about a million Neons, Stratuses, Cirruses and Dodge minivans around this town w/ that block in it if you have the time to go pull it. Have you checked Car-Parts.com yet? If your block is fuxor'd get stock parts on 2gnt for pennies on the dollar and put it back together. Mike Phillips has a torque plate for the motor if you need it freshened up after you find parts. For 1400 bucks you could buy all forged internals and have a built block. Whats wrong w/ the motor btw?

AMEN to that. My boss is constantly saying he needs to ask his wife, it drives me up the f'n wall. My wife expresses discontent with a majority of the things I want to do and it always puts me in a rough position. I'm asked to go out with friends at least a few times a week and I have to make the decision on weither or not to deal with a bitchy wife or to simply stay at home to keep the peace. What sucks is that I encourage her to go out with her friends and I can honestly say in the 9 yr's we've been together I've never told her she couldnt do something. I'm just much more passive and don't really give a shit. Your friend may be in a similar situation. He may have a wifey that wants to spend time with him (most women think you dont spend enough time together, imo) and gets bitchy if he goes out w/o her. If they have kids it gets very difficult to get away w/o a fight. I think most guys want time with their friends to just chill but they have to pick their battles. Give him the benefit of the doubt as he may have just chosen his words unwisely.

Ouch!

What dimensions are you looking for? What kind of power do you make? I picked up a universal fmic from Powers at IPS for a great price.

Its been a while since i've used it but I believe the Rubber Stamp tool will highlight the entire object for cutting and pasting.

I can't believe this thing is running before mine, damn you The good news is now you have room up there at Byers to get mine in so we can go out running. After the breakin lets go beat the piss out of it. Congrads bro.

Being that i'm probably one of the more knowledgable people in the city about this platform i'll share what i've seen. Timing belt needs to be addressed at 70K, do not overlook this. The car also is notorious for headgasket issues. The corner bolts stretch over time and its pretty common to eventually have a leak. ARP's fix the issue at 90 bucks. Also the oil pan has no bafffling so oil pressure gets scary low on a hard right corner. The website that sells crank scrapers also made a full drop in baffling system for the pan, its very much worth the money. There have been a lot of guys who've spun rod bearings as a result of running oil too low and starving the motor b/c of the lack of baffling. Don't expect a stock clutch to last from lots of abuse, but this can be said for most cars. Clutchmasters makes a great clutch for this platform. If your feeling crafty you can take the head and bolt it to the 2.4 block found in many late model chysler cars, throw lots of srt4 parts at it and have a pretty stout motor w/ lots more torque. Theres lots of information about the 2.4 swap on 2gnt.com. Aside from these issues, I know of cars on a nat'l forum that are abused on a weekly basis and have few issues. The trans is very stout, i'm putting over 300 ft lbs of torque to the drivetrain and have never had any issues. Dont expect to make a lot of power n/a if you start throwing parts at it. N/a they are slobs. I'd recommend keeping the car mostly stock as they are reliable and get excellent gas milage.

Grashels corner weighs.

I dont know how much you guys watch the big east but if Rodriguez would play Slayton more than just the first half he would be a serious threat imo. He had a very impressive game against Georgia in their bowl game with 3 break away td's in the first half (maybe even first quarter, i know they went up on Georgia stupid fast before sitting on their hands and almost getting beat) and has rushed for 200 yards and multiple td's nearly every game this year. Their only downfall is the weak ass big east. They are an explosive team offensively though and that guy is a stud. I'm not a big fan of Wvu but i've seen a lot of his play and hes the most impressive D-1 RB imo. Second big threat imo is Chris Leak. Florida is playing argueably the hardest schedule in NCAA history and if he continues to play well and puts up some big numbers against these big teams then he could also be considered a front runner. If they do win out I think they'll get a number 1 ranking, they have a much harder schedule than we do. I wish we'd run some option plays a little more. Smith did so much damage last year w/ his feet and as much as I like this pocket passer (which hes done VERY well with this year) hes become, I like the dynamic of a dual threat a little more. Drew Stanton really had ND on the run in the first 3 quarters of that game, moving the ball well in the air and on the ground. I sometimes wish we played more like the old FSU or Miami teams where no matter who you played you ran the score up as much as possible. Tressle ball gives me high blood pressure too often

Personally I've had good luck with Pinnacle products. I currently have version 10.5. Your more than welcome to a copy of it if you like (or any of the other products i'll list). Its very easy to use and doesnt require a powerful machine to run it. Sony Vegas Movie Studio is in many ways similar to Pinnacle Studio. I didnt see any advantage to using this over pinnacle so I still use pinnacle. The Dvd Author software is a little more powerful with its capabilities but it also has a HUGE users manual and will take some time to master. I think I have a copy of version 6 and had no problem figuring out how to use it. Adobe products are great. They are laid out very similar to Photoshop (appearance wise) CS and are fairly simple to navigate. I have a copy of Adobe Production Studio but havent messed with it enough to really master it. Avid products (I have Liquid 7 and XpressPro HD 5.2) are top of the line programs. They allow more input formats than the others and will output in HD. This comes with a price though, they are more complicated to use and require a very fast machine. I have 2 gig of ram and a 2.2ghz Athlon XP and it wasn't nearly enough to run either programs. IMHO i'd stick with Pinnacle. The final product is good quality and its very simple to use. I have 10.5 w/ the cracks and you can unlock nearly every feature the thing has, stuff you'll probably never use.

Due to my fathers continuing battle with heroin I went to 3 different middle schools and 3 different high schools. I scored in the top 10% of the nation on the ASVAB test and had several offers to military schools. I graduated 6th in my class and was an All-State pitcher. All this childhood drama has made me closer to my extended family than most people. Theres nothing more important to me than my family, w/o their help i wouldnt be where i am today. That mid 90's commercial that said 'parents who do drugs have kids who do drugs' has always pissed me off. I lost one step mom to lung cancer, one to a heroin overdose, and i've only met my biological mother 1 time (Christmas eve of my 22nd b-day).

IMHO equipment violations such as window tint are just f'n revenue builders. You can rant about the safety of officers but if it was REALLY the concern then you'd make the offender get the shit removed. Not busting your balls John just this stupid ass law all together. There are plenty of good people who have window tint, expecially those people with kids. Leave it to some ass wipe to f it up for the rest. I'll openly admit i'm to lazy to look it up and since we're on topic i'll just ask. Do the rear windows and back window have any restrictions? Is it just the front two windows that have to be 50% or lighter?

ROFL, i seen a personal plate today at my work that had me cracking up. TD7GINN, and the plate cover around it said Teddy Ginn for Heisman. I agree with Jeff, we missed a shit load of tackles. This is the second game in a row that we've given up big run plays or easy ass screens. Tilleys on point though, we're used to seeing Carpenter and Hawk busting heads. Its to damn bad that we didnt get Buster Davis Some of the powerhouses this year dont have the strongest running game. Aside from WVU and Auburn a lot of the top schools are passing schools. Our secondary shut Sweed and the whole texas crew pretty much down, i like our odds thus far. I'm hoping for a BSC championship game agains WVU, once and for all could I shut my boss up about this matchup. The Big East is weaksause.
