What are the odds that Einstein purposely mislead us? He was probably one of those aliens the history channel keeps talking about... always up to something. Now I'm curious about neutrinos.

Very good points here. You can't spend fast enough to dig yourself out of debt. The .gov needs to encourage people who contribute to the whole system, not people who live off the system. I'd really like to see a substantial reduction in the size and employees of the .gov as well. Countdown to Ron Paul discussion 3....2....1.....

It's been awhile, maybe they've fixed things since 2001. Great place to spend a couple days backpacking though. Places with lots of vertical change like this really expose the differences in 2-dimensional vs. 3 dimensional measurements.

Make a new thread and we'll get you taken care of. I at least need to get a shot timer for this. I'm getting a little more excited about this idea, especially if we can get a little friendly competition going Fastest each drill gets a candy bar?

Did they ever get the mileage fixed at Zaleski? That "as the bird flies" BS caught me seriously off guard a long time ago. I'll be heading back there in a couple weeks.

Good to know, thanks.

Seems like there's been a few P51 crashes lately. I'm glad I got to see them here at the gathering when I did! Very sad to lose so much like this. I'm a little surprised a 74 year old can fly a plane like this, the pilot must have been more fit than the 74 year-olds I've seen.

This. So it's going to be more of a group-drill, okay then. I'm interested, but I'd need to know what you guys can offer me that would be worth the cost and drive vs. running drills alone at home for free. Not to sound like a douche, I'm just trying to get a handle on it. Not that I would complain about funnin' around and shooting with some decent guys, I just don't want to expect to be gunning for 8 hours then have to stop every 3 minutes because someone's blaster shit the bed or whatever. So I should expect a square range with IPSC/IDPA style targets, and a course of fire base loosely on VTAC drills against a timer w/peers? Is there a possibility to set up moving targets, pop-ups, etc? That would be great.

So to get back on topic: Ron Paul is perfect EXCEPT that -He doesn't want the US to Police the world -Maybe not supportive enough for some homosexual groups -Abortion issues? -Tendency towards isolationism in regards to manufacturing -else(?) And that's 11 pages? I'm interested in Ron Paul and would like some evidence that he's NOT the best candidate. Most of what I read about him tells me he's the best candidate I've seen yet for presidency in 2012. Anything else to add that isn't a thread-derailing debate-fest?

No go on frangible ammo. You can make target stands for $10 or $15 and just replace the paper/cardboard FYI. What round counts are you projecting? Are you guys just trying to put together some type of stage/match, or are you actually organizing a class? (I'd be interested in a Vickers, Magpul, EAG, etc. class) What are you working on that is beyond "things you can do on your own?" Shoothouse? Team drills? Breaching? Delta-ninja helicopter insertion?

Well I spend 10 minutes sitting (minimum) each way commuting to work. Sometimes it's up to an hour. I usually turn my bike off if I can crawl with traffic, but sometimes if you're just creeping, it's better to leave it running. Especially those days where it's 100+ degrees on the asphalt, and you're sitting forever... I've never been hot enough on an aircooled bike where anything caught fire. If my pants were sitting on the exhaust during a long burnout, then yes absolutely something could ignite. But who is that incredibly retarded? You're asking for it and I'd call that "frivolous."
-
This just in: Air-cooled motors will burn you! How much hotter than any other air-cooled motor do the HDs run? What, they didn't have enough room for adequate cooling fins so they just let it run hot?

Major bummer Hopefully I'll catch you guys at the next one then. -
I certainly wouldn't believe anything those three kids said at this point. They're in hot water and they'd say just about anything to deflect, like previous posters mentioned. If he's a woman-beater, I hope he goes to jail. Otherwise, those kids need some serious talking-to.

I've had an asus K52 laptop for a few months. It was good at first, but there has always been this issue with the mouse/text marker randomly repositioning itself, even with the sensitivity and anti-palming settings tweaked. It makes it very difficult to type anything (it's not user error I promise) more than a few words. I've read you can ditch the factory mousepad driver and just use the windows mouse driver to get rid of it, but then you lose some features/functions. I got a usb mouse and it's not a problem anymore. Also, recently my screen has started getting weird lines through it, covering about half the display every time it boots or wakes up. Opening a window or dragging the mouse over them makes them go away, but still the laptop isn't even a year old. Otherwise it's pretty solid. They do get pretty warm, and the keyboard is shitty and flexible. Also the screen is about impossible to read in direct sunlight. Supposedly they're better than many others though. Supposedly.

Some of the sticklers (AIMsurplus) won't even sell 31+ round mags in Ohio. That being said, I've never known anyone who got in trouble for shooting with a 31+ round mag in Ohio.

As much fun as that sounds like, driving 1.5 hours and paying to shoot my 1911 just isn't quite as awesome as walking out the back door and shooting for free. Maybe next time, thanks for the heads up.

If you're just hearing kind of a valvetrain noise, that's totally normal at/just around idle under load. There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting the clutch out at idle speed on any bike. Don't listen to internet ricers that tell you to rev to 2000rpm just to get moving, that's retarded and will only accelerate wear. Your shifting issue sounds like a problem. I'd agree with Hellmutt and suspect a bent fork, but give it a look. Might just be a worn detent or something simple. That being said all the 600s I've ridden have enough torque to easily keep up with traffic shifting at 3k or 4k rpm under light throttle. Obviously if you want to go faster, rev it more.

Nice pics.

+1 for a Ruger 10/22. About the best starter gun if you ask me.

My superhawk ran great this morning too, but I was stuck in traffic most of it The carbs aren't hard to get out, just take off the tank, take off the airbox, and there they are. Much easier than doing an old inline-4 if you ask me. When you have them out check the d-shaped screws and if they're at the factory setting then back them out half a turn or so if you're all stock.

Yeah although I'm not sure why they looped the video. A picture would have been basically the same. Unless it's just not loading right for me or something. -
I just found this site http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=139025 that says that the rotors are the same for some late-90s bikes too, which is what I suspected. The difference in part numbers must be due to the coloration of the center section or something unimportant (hopefully). For example, 59210-33E90 the 59210 is the same across many models, just the next sequence is different. Okay thanks, I'll just run with that.

This thread has been pretty entertaining, thanks for that. I'll still wave at anyone on two-wheels, even if it's a two-wheeled powered wheel-barrow. I have a mesh jacket and it's just as cool as a t-shirt, with tons more protection-something to think about. The helmet thing is your call (just don't forget eye-pro), but I've had so many birds/rocks/debris/etc hit my head while riding I'd never ever ride without one. That shit will take an eye out, cause an accident, or worse and it happens to me at least yearly.
