I'm not a dog trainer, but I would say that's probably because he's a puppy. I think if you're consistent, he'll get catch on quickly.

I've also found that hand gestures work wonders too. I had that problem with cora, she's bitey when she plays and that's fine, but when I'm not in the play mood, i don't want her nipping at me, so I try to be really consistent to say "Play" when its ok to play, and I hold my hands up (like enough, palms out sort of deal) and say "no more" when play time is over. She's taken to it really well and knows when to stop now.

The whole obedience by dominance totally works when that's the issue. I've seen both disobedience due to fear and due to aggressive protection of an owner corrected by putting a dog on its side and just keeping them there until they calm down and realize they have to listen because you're alpha.

^I like it. Its so organized. I tried a tray set up and was pretty disappointed with the results. I switched over to those jars that I showed and they worked really well. I lost 3 of my pepper plants for putting them out too early I've got more started though. You're gonna have a shit ton of peppers this summer. How many plants do you have?

^ To address your guys' problems with stupid people at work, I had a co-worker when I first started that would deliberately make you feel dumb if you asked a dumb question. You know what happened? People stopped asking him dumb questions and either quit all together or tried to figure stuff out on their own until they came up with a not dumb question.

Its definitely a confidence thing. I know this is kind of weird too, but I've found I'm not attracted to dudes with bad posture. Not like, slouching at a computer or while sitting, but the guys who are kinda slumped over when walking, like staring at the ground and whatnot. I'm sure that ties in with confidence.
