I always love the first of the year....all of the new people at the ymca. We take bets on who will last the longest. That is another thing that keeps me going, my friends at the y ride me like a cheap whore if I miss a day.

Run when you like to run...dont let anyone or anything dictate when you go. I hit the Y as soon as I drop my daughter off at school on my days off. I cannot get motivated to go in the evening. I have a co-worker that runs 5k every day at 2pm. its all you. http://www.fleetfeetcolumbus.com/

I manage to get in 9-12 miles per week. Either on the mill or outside. My best advise, other than what everyone else has already said is this. Dont try to determine what kind of runner you are an buy shoes off the shelf.I made that mistake, bought a very expensive pair of Mizuno Nirvana wave runners. Great shoe, but not for my running style. They were for an overpronator, and I caused myself a serious case of shin splints. took me several months to heal up. Go to Fleet Feet. They will have you stand on a mat and get an impression of your arches, they will run you in your socks, and in your shoes, then fit you up in the right pair. The shoes cost no more than what they do at Dicks, and they are all RUNNING shoes. I wear Asics GT2450's and can run 5K pain free. Change your shoes every 6 months. I am 5'7" 205 built like a fireplug....best 5k 30:27

Didn't mean to touch a nerve. Your store may be different or have different policies than the local one here. Too many bad experiences.

I just bought a Toshiba from Tiger Direct and when it came out of the box, it had the thin cling on plastic film on the bezel to protect it during shipping. What I am saying is that most mfgs. will protect their product to the fullest extent to avoid this stuff. HH Gregg is notorious for in store repackaging. It may have been returned, and once that film is pulled off, you cant put it back on. Take it back, you just made an investment in something that should last you 10 years, and every time you look at it, you wont like it.

Send me the make and model of your laptop, and I can get you a quote.

Sorry it took me so long to reply.... He did 2 18 volt for my Dad about a month ago, I think they were $38 each. It depends a lot on the brand. I know that the DeWalts cost more. If you consider what a new one costs, you cant beat it. He rebuilt my rechargeable batteries for my streamlight survivor I carry on my fire gear, 2 years ago, and it still lasts hours on a charge.

Bought a battery from e-bay for my Thinkpad about a year ago. Gave me about 3 hours on full bore. Now I get about 1 1/2 hours out of it. I have a friend here in Cambridge that owns a battery business. He rebuilds batteries for about anything, and makes better cleaner power for laptops, etc. The only problem is if you fly, there are restrictions on how much lithium you can have in your battery. He sells any kind of battery, and rebuilds DeWalt, Makita, Ryobi, you name it, they can make it.

musta been $50 on the back side of that wheel to want it off that bad.

He hated the experience because he got a shitty bike, and prolly has no friends.

Thats pretty cool....I would like to make a trip like that someday. Only my last stop would be Vegas for a week. -
I always used Boston Acoustics, but I am not much into it anymore either.

I have line-x in my 05 Silverado. dumped about a gallon of gas in it, and it did not soften it. I have hauled a bunch of scrap metal, lumber, firewood, dirt that was shoveled out, mulch shoveled out etc. No rips, tears, or getting brittle. It is very thick and stuff doesn't slide. worth the extra money.

I have a 13 year old Boston Terrier that Ihave had since she was a baby, I know the day is coming soon, I just know I will be a blithering idiot on that day.

Best we ever did was $64 each way, and those were non stop flights. Southwest is the berries. My wife and I ask our relatives to give us Southwest gift cards for Christmas. We end up flying for free, having money left over on our cards, and the room is always free, so all I need is gambling cash and singles to tip the cocktail waitresses.

Wheeling Downs, and the Meadows in PA don't pass out the alcohaol either. Wheeling used to give away beer, but you had to pay for liquor. That is the biggest thing I go to Vegas for. I know I am not going to win any money, but all of the free booze makes up for it.

I agree, 3-4 nights is Gods plenty in Vegas. I am usually worn out on the way home because of the all nighters.
-
Yeah, the old boat is still sitting there, but the new place is huge! Vegas is dirt cheap right now, even if you have to pay for a room. You can stay in nicer properties for under $59 a night. Really good time to go too, the weather is outstanding in October.

Yeah, I have found out that there is nowhere like Vegas when it comes to drinking. When the machines start bustin your balls, just throw a 20 in a penny machine and it looks like you are playing a ton. Then it is party time.....find a good waitress, and a nice tip and the top shelf opens up!!!

If anybody likes to gamble, drink, or just generally have fun...... My wife and I wnt to Hollywood in Lawrenceburg, IN for a couple of nights last week. Buffet was good, played all night the first night and only lost 12 bucks. Went back to the room several times to refill my Sailor Jerry and diet coke. Just toted them over to the casino in a 24 oz bottle, no questions asked. Lost a couple hundred the second day there, but ate for free both days. The room was very nice, had a 42 inch LCD in the wall, and a nice firm king size bed. The casino is 20 times better than Wheeling, and as nice as some of the Vegas casinos I have been in. If you are a player, $10 limit was the lowest I saw and that was through the week.

My Mom always brags me up to people, and I am always with my head down saying awwww shucks Mom. I appreciate the fact that people look up to us and what we do. You learn to generate your own coping mechanism to deal with the nasty stuff. Riding is one of them for me. As for career choices.....I dont look back a single day and think of doing anything else. The schedule is great, my extended family of 19 brothers, the pay and retirement are great.

Blood, vomit and piss never bothered me, but I hate poop.
