  1. lol, i've got my 1911 and XD in my trunk
  2. At least she wasn't spending John's money, she pays for all her own shit.
  3. Alex, walking down the street with a rifle in your hand is a completely different subject than allowing people that have passed background checks to legally own a pistol, which is a different subject from allowing people who have passed a class and a more thorough investigation to conceal a handgun. If I'm walking down the street and I have a concealed gun, the cop driving by will never know its there, unless he stops and I tell him. And Kenny is right (as always) the media calls everything an AK, except for a while back when everything was an SKS. Easier to incite panic in the readers than to be accurate.
  4. From my own personal experience, Blackberry's have pretty sturdy hardware, but the software is garbage. Don't expect it to ever fully cooperate with you, its just the nature of the beast. At least you don't have to have bullshit third party software for your job, that causes it to reboot constantly, or just not work at all.
  5. I'm arguing with you :bangbang:
  6. Between Eric's tangents and Thorne's utter disregard for Firefox Spellcheck, this thread has become way too TL;DR. Out.
  7. I observed a Big Bang just last week. Watched a whole new universe create itself out of nothing.
  8. If I was the one writing the statistics then sure, but I'm just linking to it. I am curious though - how come Chi Town is calling in the National Guard, and handing out M4 Carbine rifles to their street cops in order to try and reclaim the city, yet they don't trust a law abiding citizen to own, or ZOMG CARRY, a .45 Colt?
  9. http://cbs2chicago.com/local/chicago.summer.shootings.2.810166.html So....its safer to be in Iraq or Afghanistan than in the US city with the most strict gun control. That makes sense http://smiliesftw.com/x/ugh2.gif
  10. ID is as much a religion, as belief in the Big Bang. Until a theory is proven with hard evidence, which I doubt we ever will be able to do with the beginnings of Man, then it is nothing more than a theory. And you either believe in a theory, or you don't. Sounds an awful lot like religion to me. Fuck, I've never seen a dinosaur. Not even the remains of one. Yet it is commonly believed that they exist. I do know that they aren't here in my world, so their existence to me, is a theory, and one that I feel can be believed in. Oh, and teacher's should be able to answer any fucking question a student gives them. That's the whole point of being there. All of you anti-ID people are talking about straight up censorship in one breath, then switching back to the accusations of Palin trying to pull books in the next. Fucking hypocrites.
  11. Looks like I'm late to the party...err.....clusterfuck. First off, I would like to say congrats to Stillman on the wonderful trolling. I wish I would have come up with it. The only thing I really care to contribute to this thread, is that the vast majority of science is theory. Even things that are considered to be absolutes, such as gravity, are still considered theory. Why is this? Possibly because its not something that you can shove under a microscope and poke at with some tweezers. Now then, why would it be such a big deal to allow discussion of an opposing viewpoint in schools? Sounds like a way to get kids thinking more, and coming up with some healthy debate. The thing with Intelligent Design, is that its not actually taking a religious point of view. Its saying that we don't know where we come from, but considering how well everything in our world works together in harmony, is it not possible that we were designed, rather than forming from random cell splitting? What's the harm in teaching that, when religion isn't actually involved. BTW, I consider myself to be Agnostic. I haven't set foot inside a church since I was 15 years old, except to attend a few weddings. I follow no faith, yet I can see the benefits of teaching this. I recommend to the people against it, to watch the documentary that Ben Stein filmed within the past year on this very topic. Its very dry, but it expounds on this subject, and it makes sense. What I don't get is how people can be so closed minded on shit they don't even understand.
  12. lol, back when I had the drive to come up with incendiary arguments. Now I just make fun of people.
  13. I'm watching it right now on the DVR actually. I'll have to watch it again when I'm more awake, but its been intense.
  14. LOL At my high school, having a pocket knife was considered normal. I remember using one in the middle of class to pull a splinter out of my finger, the teacher obviously saw me doing it, but kept on teaching because he didn't care. But then again, I did go to a rural school where half the kids lived on farms, and if anyone felt the need to get into a fight they didn't use weapons anyway.
  15. I think Eric learned a new word this week
  16. copperhead

    Fuck

I remember a few years ago having to take Not Brian to the impound to pick up his car, then to the main BMV to get his license reinstated after going through this exact same thing. His was a mistake though, he had shown proof of insurance, the BMV never recorded it and revoked his license without ever telling him.
  17. In that case, you need to realize that the number one reason to NOT vote for the Dem ticket this time around, is that Joe Biden is the lapdog of the Brady Campaign. Obama has made it very clear how he stands on guns. Mccain at least has the sense to not piss off his party members on something so big. Something completely unrelated - I can't figure out why guys feel so strongly about abortion, either one way or the other. I am incapable of being pregnant, therefore I don't see how I should be able to dictate to people who are, what they are and are not allowed to do with their bodies. This may make me appear to be pro choice, but the truth is, I'm neutral on it.

    Fuck

Then this probably should be closed. Miller, if you want it back open, PM me and I'll be happy to do so. EDIT Opened back up.
  19. Writing a review of a business belongs in Consumer Reports, not here. /Warned
  20. Yeah, thats really not a fair question. Parts of the state, land is worthless, other parts its stupid expensive.
  21. Seriously. However, taking this comment just a bit further could invoke Godwin's Law so proceed with caution.
  22. Last i heard, it's Congress that writes and votes on the federal budget. The President just signs into law or vetos. How long have the Democrats been in control of Congress now, writing the budget? Oh, and I'm pretty sure that when the budget was balanced while Clinton was in office, it was done by a GOP controlled Congress. But hey, its easier to just blame every problem in the world on Bush, rather than face reality.
  23. And there is already a line of people wanting to assassinate obama, what's your point?
