If someone’s car breaks down because of their ignorance of a well-documented, easily fixable problem, I have very little pity for them.</font>If your mother went out and bought a first model year Focus, that has a major recall on the wheel bearings, and a wheel fell off on the highway, causing a wreck and the vehicle to be totalled, would you feel no pity for her, because she didn't know that there was a recall on the car? Not everyone is an automotive enthusiast. Hell, many people I know are able to do more than turn the key, move the thingy on the floor to "d" and push the gas pedal. Not everyone knows or cares to look into what specific problems a certain car has. It's thanks to these people that the mechanics in our country are employed.
  4. argh, I already told you that if you can get ahold of the guy again, I'll take it

  6. I have found from experiance linksys wireless routers > belken wireless routers In less than a month, I've had two belken's take a shit. Just got the linksys today, we'll see how it fares
  7. my $.02, it seems to me like it's acting like it doesn't want to idle, but it seems like it's shutting down too fast for that to be the issue. Just trying to make the problem a bit more clear, i want to see this beast run

    RX7 question

there were a few of the "2+2" models that did in fact have rear seats. I believe Crackhead Ricky has that model, and pulled out the rear seats anyways.

  11. Wow, thanks for looking up those numbers Joe. I never thought my guess as to what the cars were selling for would be that accurate. For what the car is, those prices are rather impressive. I predict this car will sell like crazy.
  12. Cars, with or without the motors still in, sorry
  13. There's almost always a few sitting at u-wrench-it, and Brandon just posted that his may be for sale soon
  14. the 300zx motors seem to be rather troublesome. Stick with a KA, you can pick them up all over the place for cheap, and they are rather reliable. The the trouble you would go through of rewiring the car, putting in motor mounts and swapping the bellhousing, you won't really be seeing enough power gains to make up for it.
  15. http://www.sacbee.com/state_wire/story/10854599p-11772282c.html California goverment won't be happy until there are no cars at all
  16. That hill was always entertaining. I enjoyed putting my old truck up the dirtbike ramp more though. Evan, do you remember Depot street in Belpre? I ramped the 300ZX there real good one time, that was a scary landing

  19. Apparently, the Ohio river flooded this past weekend, I'm still not sure why. As some of you know, I moved here a few years ago from Marietta, where I still have some family. Marietta got hit VERY hard by this, it's the worst flood they've had in forty years. http://mariettatimes.com/communities/04flood/readers/Pike-Street-008-rev.jpg That picture is of Pike Street, the main drag through the city. I've NEVER in my life seen that road covered with water. According to the local newspaper, the river hit ten feet over flood level. http://mariettatimes.com/communities/04flood/gallery.asp That's the rest of the pictures. I wish I could have made it down there, but I was told that over the weekend, all of the bridges into the city were shutdown. All of the backroads flood before anything, so there was no way in. Or out.

  21. Yeah, because when we nuked Japan - twice - we really destroyed the entire country I agree that tactical nukes are not the answer. Our modern ballistics are just as powerful as our world war two era nukes, without the longlasting effects. A couple warheads should more than suffice.
  22. That is so far from being totalled that this thread makes me sad. List of parts that car needs: pass. side fender pass. side headlight front bumper cover hood From the pictures, it looks like there is no structural damage. Add up the price of the parts I listed above, then paint and labor will NOT be much for this job. Take that total estimate, and if it comes out to be less than half of the vehicle's value (and it's what, a $45k - $60k car?), then it will not totalled. Thanks for playing, though. EDIT I looked at the pics again and the fuckin airbags didn't even blow!! That guy could have tapped a curb that he didn't know was there for all we know! Fiberglasse breaks like that. That car is hardly even banged up
  23. I'm going to vote for Ben (Satan). Ask him about the first law he plans to pass.

  25. lol @ DJ, I remember that socket umm, my 14 bellhousing bolts just to get to my clutch were incredible fun. Couldn't see the ones on top from below, couldn't reach them from above. I still haven't replaced all of the bolts.
