You remember where you got the combat armor? I'm going to try to trade off the followers to get all of their quests done, but so far I'm liking Boone the best, he is nasty with that rifle. I gave him a nice set of NCR armor too

I've been using ED-E but I think I'm not too far off from getting Rex. If you try to give ED-E certain clothing he'll drop it on the ground, I was able to pick it back up. As for houses, I have gotten the owned houses in Novac, Lucky 38, and The Tops. I've really only been using the one in Novac, and even then its been rare. If I can get my lockpick up a bit higher I'm going to head into Vault 34 I think it is and swipe all the gun loot I can.

Yeah, I should probably be picking up more crap along the way but seems like I never have enough room. I finally dumped off most of my weapons (I use almost only the cowboy repeater). I'd really like some armor better than the reinforced leather armor, so if there are any suggestions I'd love to hear it. I haven't come close to power armor training yet.

Skip the pistol grip, that shit is stupid. Get a Remington 870 in any configuration so long as it has an 18" barrel. As for a handgun, get a fullsize no matter what brand you go with. My girlfriend prefers my 1911 over top of my 9mm Springer XD subcompact. So go to a range and use the rentals to see what you like. I suggest any 1911 in .45, as for 9mm try out the Smith & Wesson M&P, Springfield XD Tactical and XDm, Glock whatever (I'm not a fan of them but they are dependable, just stay away from their .40 cals), Sig Saur, maybe a Walther. It was said before, but for the shotgun set up some hooks up high so the kids can't reach it, but more than that teach them safety, and make sure they know that if they touch it they will regret it. For the handgun, there are small safes out there that have buttons for each of your fingers, so you press a sequence and it pops open.

FINALLY found an "owned house" Novak, due east of the powder ganger locations. Take the road down around the south end then back up on the east side of the map. Look for the giant Dinky the Dino thing, its a motel where you can buy a room. Also a good tip - dynamite is worth a lot. Grab it all and sell it.

So there I was, just walking along the road when all of a sudden I died. In the death cutscene there was a Deathclaw that had ran up behind me and took one swipe. Yeah....

If you follow that road down south then loop around the east, you will eventually get to a place with a shitload of metal campers laying around, its some sort of NCR post. Dig through the metal boxes inside the campers and there are at least two.

and i just played it for about 6 hours, time for sleep i found some sensor modules, took me this long to get ED-E. Haven't even considered heading up into Vegas yet, Deathclaws raped my face when I tried to go up the main road.
