  1. 40#,45#,50#,55#,60#,65#,70#,75# and up you see the pattern

I'm bout ready to star teh p90x and as a broke hughesnet dishslinger, I need it on the free. If I could just borrow a set for an indefinite time that would work too, I could even give them back when I'm done, I just need them for at least 90 days, probably longer

  2. If you ever rebuild your engine and have a pickup rotor like mine (1988 XR600 if you wanna check it out) make sure its properly installed, I put mine in upside down by mistake. I couldn't get spark...I reassembled it without the pickup coil installed / available @ the time or it would have been obvious. Anyways rotor reversed and now sparky is doing its job.

Side note, I've been too lazy on this project all year lol, favorite excuse - the weather - cold has been too cold, heat too hot lol.

Now I just need a new clutch cover gasket.

Now for a technical question - how to figure compression ratio of the engine. Here's the story I was racing a deadline last fall (which I missed) to have the engine reassembled by end of september. I accidently broke the original piston rings when I was polishing the piston - buffing wheel grabbed it and slammed it against the wall, amazingly no damage to piston, rings were broken & shot. I ordered a replacement set of rings (that barely made it in time) that ended up not working at all - they didn't fit the piston, perhaps it was an aftermarket piston? Anyways I ended up speaking to an engine builder who pointed out the honda ring failures and explained to me the main thing is the rings condition, gap, and fitment - if they fit in the grooves properly, had like .0020 gap and didn't have excessive wear then they would be fine. I found a set of rings off of a TL1000S that I filed to spec and then they were a perfect fit. The Honda original bore piston compression ratio and wiseco cr was 9:1, the TL1000S cr was 11.3:1. So is the cr based mostly on piston and the cr unchanged, mostly on rings and now 11:1 +/- or in the middle around 10:1?

  3. I hated the F.A.P. and the speed kinda sucked anyway.

Fair Access Policy = download limits, I understand where you're coming from. I have TWC and I've been on the phone with tech support diagnosing slow internet in the evenings - they have identified it as people mass downloading netflix, videos and such. 6p - 12 midnight I might as well just go to bed instead of using roadrunner. They're not planning on splitting the card until the end of summer. TWC fail. FAP is supposed to keep the bandwith available so this doesn't happen on their setup.

  4. I work for Hughesnet now - installing satellite internet, if you'd like to get in on the recovery internet you need to qualify by verifying you have no cable internet available (roadrunner, and the like), verizon, att or highspeed DSL, and then the gov't will help pay for the installation and equipment costs. Contact me and I can put you in contact with our staff to walk you through it. If you don't qualify for the gov't program, there's some rebates and such to take advantage of as well.

    Cheers peeps

  5. I have a friend with a 2002 Audi A6 twin turbo 6 cylinder needs both turbos rebuilt or replaced, been quoted retarded money by some shops, anyone interested in helping a friend of a friend? He's willing to pay, just not interested in paying as much as he can get a whole new car for

  6. Ok, beginning of last October I got let go from Cyclesearch.

So I became an installer for Direct TV at the end of October... thru first week of Feb...then I find out the contractor I was working with got his contract pulled from Direct TV.

Now I'm training to work with an internet Satellite company... I hope it lasts for a couple years at least lol.

If anyone missed me other than the admin who sent the mandatory birthday and we missed you emails I am still lurking feel free to PM

  7. I bought a Thai headlight assembly off ebay and it arrived damaged, so I follow the ebay guidelines, filed a claim and ship it back - the only affordable way - usps economy. I called ebay to make sure I could get my refund since you cannot track usps economy packages once they leave the USA, the lying ebay customer support rep said ebay has their ways.

Long story short, seller has my money and probably even has their product back and I have got jack for my trouble.

    Thanks ebay

  9. Serpentracer - you're complaining about getting paid $50K for installing windows? That's way fat $$ for the work you're doing.

I saw the sales dropping @ Cycle Search and starting inquiring about jobs ahead of time. Next week I'll be going for training with Direct TV. Its a change of industries, but hey, sometimes these things work out ok.

  10. Hey Everyone, the season is moving right along and now is the time when the pricing softens here on the used parts. We can't price match everyone on used parts, however we can give you quality tested confirmed working parts at good prices, sometimes we even have a little negotiability. PM me if you need anything.

  11. I need a custom electrical device for various power and control experiments.

The device would need to invert power from 12v DC to 220v AC and have an amp controller as well.

It also would need to incorporate frequency and pulse controlling PWM schematics I can provide.

Is there anyone on this board that has the skills to design and build such a device to help me in my quests?

PM me if you're able to help and interested. Thanks.

  12. She was returning from the casino... and no alcohol was involved?? Granny should be charged, the cop should be charged for negligence, miscarriage of justice, if there's a judged involved I find him guilty of all the above and then some for refusing justice to the family of the deceased.

We have seriously got to start running these clowns out of office, they aren't making me laugh
