Rode last night to work and back home this morning. I plan on doing the same tonight. I will end the old year riding and start the new year off the same. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!

Not since the first snow coated the roads. I would ride out on the main roads, but Columbus ignores plowing the neighborhoods. My street is fairly clear, but there's still some patchy ice. I'm holding out for 1/1/11 if not sooner.

My wife and I finally ate there tonight and everything we had tasted great. My only disappointment was there were no real redhead servers working tonight. Sara, our server, is a little cutie though. The only real redhead in the place was my wife and she wasn't wearing the uniform. We'll be back.

I have recently experienced a lot of solicitors coming to my door. I give them the usual "No thank you" and close the door. But a few times they have come after dark. I'll answer the door, but my handgun is visible and at the ready. I'm not apologetic about it. This is my home and my family and I will protect them. I will also sometimes go out the back door and walk up behind them. They don't expect that and it gives me an advantage if they're not here for a legitimate purpose.

When my daughter was younger, I used a device that she was strapped into and then was strapped to me. It had a small block of nylon covered foam that was a buffer between her and me and it had handlebars on the block for her to hold on to. I liked it because since it was attached to me she wouldn't be too far should the worst case scenario happen. Much like anything else, especially in motorcycling, it's all about the individual rider's acceptable level of risk. You are ultimately responsible for yourself and your child. I still have the child safety harness in my attic. I should pull it out and see if anyone on the board would like it.

I had already set a reminder in my calendar for this. I'll be out working so I hope to get a chance to at least see a part of this event.

I'll give credit to NJ Governor Chris Christie; many may not like him or agree with him, but he seems to be the only government official telling it like it is.

I was Army Reserve way back when and I got what I wanted. But, that was easy because I wanted Infantry. The technical jobs are more difficult to get, just make sure that you know what you need to score on the ASVAB test to get that job training. Best wishes on your search and I say, GO ARMY! HOOAH!
