Well, I like the placement and the light output. But the 22 gauge steel I used is not strong enough to support the lights. I purchased the sheet metal from a hardware store and didn't see anything thicker than what I bought. Does anyone know of a local place I can purchase thicker material, either steel or aluminum?

Rode to work last night. This morning was chilly. You should get a pair of fleece or flannel lined jeans. My biggest problem is the faceshield fogging up. I'm thinking about getting the electric shield conversion kit or the dual pane shield kit for my Scorpion helmet.

I'm a big fan of Harbor Freight and own a lot of their hand and electric tools. I purchased one of their Pittsburgh torque wrenches and to date it's the only tool I ever had to return. Ended up buying a Craftsman.

This week I decided to add some additional lights to the front end. The idea behind this was: 1-I do a lot of night riding. 2-More visibility. 3-I wanted lights that turn with the steering. I bought a set of fog lights for $40.00, a relay, a toggle switch and a rubber boot. I fabricated the brackets out of 22 gauge sheet metal. Total cost about $56.00. Here's the result. I just finished the job and everything works fine. Haven't test ridden the bike yet to adjust the aim.

Blue Crayfish are great looking in the tank, but they will try to catch your fish and eat them and they are pretty good at it.

Not as far as I know. I was riding up close to the seat when I first started riding, then I started adjusting my riding position looking for my comfort zone. Sitting slightly back is my comfort zone, my back feels aligned and my weight is not on my hands. I think I will invest in the Tech Spec Gripster. Seems like most reasonable alternative.

The seat is stock and I haven't put any kind of cleaner on it. I don't find the seat uncomfortable and don't want to spend the big money for an "upgraded" seat. Isaac's Papa, "Your feet shouldn't be resting on the pegs while braking. They should be bracing your weight. (read: pushing down) That should be sufficient force to keep you from sliding forward." I haven't paid attention to my foot position while braking, so I'll try your suggestion next time I'm out.

Getting used to the VFR and to this riding style. I'm loving it and enjoy the change, but every time I brake I slide forward. No matter how tightly I squeeze my knees, I slide. I have a stock seat. What do you guys do to prevent this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
