  1. Yeah I was kidding, but since you brought this to the table, maaaayyyybe this IS the problem. Perhaps the officers of this department are not experienced and/or trained enough to (what I consider) properly handle situations like this. Now before anyone goes crazy on me for saying that, let me explain. I feel that we (the public) expect officers to be able to handle a high stress situation like this differently than the average joe would have, hell I probably would have blown the guy away if it was me too, but I'm not a professionally trained law enforcement officer. I don't have the mental and physical training to deal with a situation like this, I guarntee I would have been on the adrenaline high and probably killed the sob too but I think that a trained officer would be able to keep the rush at bay and do the right thing while still protecting the even the life of a criminal. I know you're gonna say, the cops only human blah blah blah, but hes a human that chose to serve in this capacity and should be trained to handle it without being considered "trigger happy".
  2. Yeah you guys got lucky , that cop really just didn't want to do all that paperwork and call 5 tow trucks to impound all your bikes, now if it had been just one of ya it might have been different. And hey, we all speed, I don't think theres many on here (at least regulars) that can say they don't or haven't, even I was doing tripple digits for a brief bit on 270 last night on the way there! Picking and choosing when and where to run those kinds of speeds is what makes the difference. At least you didn't run, don't want to end up like the guy in that "other" thread !
  3. So okay, something really interesting happened to a small group of riders on the way to old CC before QSL and no one's mentioned it?????? C'mon, tell everyone else what happened, I'm not gonna say anything except that it was your lucky night! BTW, we like to bowl !
  4. Naw, my wife would never be in Blue Ash Hey, the poll is tied up at 21 a piece!
  5. Melissa and I would probably go.
  6. Hmmmm, might make it there tonight. Are you doing the whole "meet at old CC at 7" deal??????
  7. Oh man u suck! I'm sitting in my truck at Sharon Woods Metro Park eating my lunch wishin I could be riding! Dashboard says its 65deg out , damnit man. Come 5:15pm I'll be on my bike until it gets dark!!!!!!!!
  8. Hey BTW, does anyone know if the family of the driver ever filed a wrongfull death suit agains the police dept? And if they did, what was the result? .
  9. Well at least the cop got his day in court to plead his case and justify his actions, to bad the dead car thief didn't get the same luxury. Even if he did, and was convicted of grand theft auto, fleeing, AND attempted murder, at least he'd just be in prison, not dead. Think about that.
  10. We are gonna bring festive cookies. Easily purchased @ the walmart, pffttt, bake? Yeah right.
  11. I do a little bit of design work on the side, nothing to fancy. I currently own all of the following sites and did the design work on them all I also host them all thru my own webhosting acount (shared hosting)... http://www.djrwebdesign.com/ http://www.davidrosso.com/ http://www.ecofriendlysmokes.com/ http://www.safeharborsecurity.net/ http://www.lifesafetytechnologies.net/ http://www.rossoprovenzareunion.org/ http://www.makegreatmoneynow.com/ http://www.rotatemylinks.com/ http://www.the6dollarwebsite.com/ http://www.thebestdamnwebhost.com/ http://www.firstbaptistchurchofhilliard.org/ http://www.ohioscooterriders.com/ http://tvahg.org/ What kind of site are you looking to do?
  12. Ding ding ding, winner!!!! I said it earlier, he should have stayed in his cruiser until another cop blocked the front of the car so it could not go anywhere. I also said I wasn't gonna comment here anymore, but this is so much fun
  13. I know, i tried to tell her that as she was typin it
  14. The only other comment I'll make here in this thread is to suggest that someone (I don't know how) create a second thread with a POLL and reference this thread and the video. For the poll quesiton make it something like... Do you agree with the decision by police to end this chase the way they did. Or something like that. I'd be curious to see the poll results.
  15. He murdered an unarmed car theif, plain and simple. These cops lives were never "really" in jeopardy. They could have just rammed the shit out of this guys car instead of unloading on the driver like they did. Whether this incident was "justified" by department policy or not does not make it morally right in the eyes of the general public. The passenger is damn lucky to be alive. Think I'm done with this one, you can see that everyone has their own point of view on this one and is not going to change their minds. To each their own. And, make sure you stop for the cops in Blue Ash
  16. Haven't we done this already????? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_AAiKy4roo
  17. Awwww.... Connection Problems Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.
  18. That was kinda my point earlier. The cop seemed to have "Judge Dredd" syndrome, acting like judge, jury and executioner all in one on the spot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itmNiTwHOsM
  19. On a lighter note, did anyone else check out the website whose name kept flashing over the video?
  20. Because not everyone agrees that someone needs to die because they made a stupid decision like running from the law, or even raming a cop car with their car. Its not like he tried to "run down" an officer out of this car, he was just trying to get away at the beginning. Seems to me maybe the smarter thing to do would have been to stay in the protective environment of your cruiser until another cruiser could have blocked the front and rear of the car, then make your move, no? Or does that make to much sense instead of jumping out in front of and on top of a car that is NOT imobilized. Hmmm. Shutup Wheezle. J/K. I guess your allowed to have an opinion too
  21. If you rewatch the video, it looks like this wasn't even a traffic stop to begin with, looks like this cop just happened upon this driver off the road, then when the guy sees the cop and decides he's outta here he almost hits the guys cruiser, a far cry from "just had a car try to ram me" as the LEO said. Latter on the dispatch mentions the car is stolen. Stolen car, running from the police, even if he tried to ram one of the cop cars, not deserving of a execution like that. For all we know (or the LEO) the driver could have been a 14yr old kid scared out of his mind. I still say bad decisions by the police dept.
