$89 dollars at iron pony $30 on ebay???? YB12AB part number...anyone got any laying around...lmao
Have you checked "Batteries Plus"? I just did a search on their website and they have that battery but did not list the price online.

I've actually seen a guy wheelie a scooter for a good mile. I was impressed lol

Wanted to let you guys know about this place. I ordered a GIVI TB19 backrest for my scooter from them. Ordered it online on Saturday and had it in hand and installed by Wednesday evening! That kind of turnaround from an online shop is fantastic!

the specific situation im referencing because a friend at work was test riding his buddies scooter, and some girls pulled up next to him in a jeep and were pointing and giggling...he usually rides a VTX 1300.
Maybe your friends just funny looking

You guys need to give that scooter more respect! The suzuki burgman 400s is one of the most fun things I've ever ridden in the city. Its top speed is comparable to a 250 and gets there faster. And com-fort-able!
Thanks. Thats what I'm talkin about The only "real" reason any of your 600 sport bikes would take my 600 scooter is that they are a hell of a lot lighter (150+ lbs lighter) and designed for speed. The scooter is not exactly designed for rocket speeds even though I can easily hit triple digits!

Scooters are not what they used to be. My luv for MC's started when I was 4 years old and my uncle used to pick me up every sunday afternoon for a ride on the back of his goldwing. Now my aunt has some health issues and they just purchased a scooter very similar to yours. I was on the back of it this past september and I was surprised how much power it had.
It is a 600 (technically, 582cc) it moves.

HAve you ever by chance passed people on highway exits/entrance ramps. Two of my buddies were riding back on our dyno day and said they were just cruising and a dood on a scooter was hanging way off the thing and flew past them leaned over? I just laughed at them
No, wasn't me.

To cold this week!
-
Dont you have a scooter to ride?
Yeah, I just got back a little while ago from LEGALLY riding my scooter.
Make all the jokes you want about it being a scooter, no matter, cause my SCOOTER is just as fast, and FASTER than some of the bikes here.... 600cc's is still 600cc's no matter if theres a clutch or not buddy!

Meet at the Shell that is attached to QSL in Polaris. It used to be a Marathon but is now a Shell.
I will be there at 11:00 AM and we will leave at 11:30. Route to be handed out then.
Ride Type: Fast with curves. Depending on how many people show, we may have more than one group.
Cleaner
What the hell. I stopped up at the Shell @ 11:15 and there was no one there. I wasn't planin on ridin with ya guys but thought I'd meet a few of you and say hi, oh well. Maybe I was at the wrong one: I was at the one over by the BP and Steak and Shake just East of 71 on Polaris.
Oh shit, I just reread the message I quoted, I WAS at the wrong one!

We had this saying while I was in the Army.... Lead from the front and Lead by example, I understand we are all human, but we should all set the example for others to follow especially those in positions of authority, not just cops but judges, senator's, and all public officials in the view of the masses.............. Just my two cents.
EXACTLY! He should have never opened his mouth, cause when he did, he stuck his foot so far in it its probably pokin out his lawbreakin ass!
When I had my temps, I followed ALL the restrictions to a tee until I got my full license. There is no excuse for his actions, and no one on this board will ever respect him now that hes "outed" himself and a bad cop, if he even trully is a cop.
Where does it end? Break the law a little here, a little there, afterall I'm a cop, "who's gonna send me to jail", pathetic.

Wow, I did not think this was really such a tough question.
This is not a pass or fail life changing question, just a simple () multi choice bit of a time waster.
Lets see if this helps any of the confused ones a little more.
If you have dont no kind of motorcycle test at all but you still ride you are #1
If you have gone & done the question & answer ibit but no kind on on bike riding test you are #2
If you have only done one on bike riding test that as far as you are aware in not considered an "experienced" or "advanced" riding test you are #3
If you have done #2 & #3 & something else that is road riding based & not track/racing based you are #4
If you are still confused just click on #5 & put your bike on e-bay & move to a small padded room with no access to heavy machinery or anything motor powered.
Bret, Fonzie is right, you need an option like he said, it is NOT required in Ohio to pass any kind of safety course to get your license, all that is required is that you pass the written temp test @ the BMV and a simple 10min manuverability course at the BMV, well I thought it was simple.
So, I'm a # 5...
5.) Fully licencesed, but no motorcycle safety course.

Really? That's all? So I guess I have to ask the question, why a scooter if it doesn't get better gas mileage than a bike? My old Katana got 50 - 60. No offense, but I'd rather ride a Katana than a scooter. Now if you were talking one of those new Honda scooters that are claiming 90+ mpg, that's a different story.
My wife has back problems (she rides with me alot) so the smooth ride of the CVT transmission benefits her (no gears, no clutch, no shifting). Its a fairly heavy bike, 500lbs, so it's selling point is not gas mileage but comfort instead. One of these days I'll hook up with you guys on a ride, when you see what it'll do you'll never look at a scooter the same again!

Story doesn't mention anything about whether or not he was wearing a helmet, just wondered.

that sucks bro. I've always had problems with worthington cops...they're always looking for dumb shit (tinted windows on cars, plate locations on bikes) good luck fighting him in court
Yep, look at this, Worthington cop, pulled over for red tinted plate covers on my Mazda, luckily it was only a warning....
-
My scoot gets somewhere between 50-55mpg, holds 4.2gal and I usually refill when I get close to 200miles on the tankful
-
It was good to meet you to. Always good to see new faces & be able to put a face (and bike) to the name.
Does your wife currently or want to ride?
She doesn't currently ride; she does however think she wants her own scooter, but she really just wants one because I have one, not necessarily cause she wants to ride. She likes to have whatever I have, we are both kinda that way but she is not real observant or aware of her surrondings enough to be riding, plus shes pretty damn clumsy, she'd probably kill herself the first week is she got something
-
Hey Bret, nice meeting you last night. We had a good time there. Actually saw four other scooters there besides mine, saw a white Vespa, red Honda Helix, silver Burgman400 and of course that hideous MP3 three wheeled thing!
I took a few pics, here is a link to them... http://tinyurl.com/6lo7as

7pm, be there or be square........... omg, did I really just say that.
Damn, you did just say that, anyway, my wife and I will be there on my Silverwing. Should be a good night, hopefully a little warmer then tonight.
-
You could have saved yourself some gas and just gone to the nearest parking lot...
Ouch

I am headin there april 15th and have never been there. I will be there for 4 days and was wondering if there is anything i should make sure i go see. Also is it safe there? I am ready, but not sure what its going to be like???? any suggestions?
My wife and I went there for our first time this past December, it was a fricken blast. We stayed at the Excalibur which was real nice and the placement of it on the strip was ideal, right across from MGM, Tropicanna and New York New York.
We liked the Hooters casino alot, we had dinner there and played slots for a couple hours there. It sets off the stip behind the Tropicanna.
A really helpful website is... http://www.visitlasvegas.com
If you have myspace access you can check out a 100+ pictures from our trip in the pics section of my myspace page.... http://www.myspace.com/davidrosso
Have fun, I'm jealous as I'd love to go back already.

Its not what you ride, its THAT you ride. welcome.
Thanks. I've only been riding since last August but I really enjoy it, I wasn't fully licensed until late in the year so I'm very anxious for the nice weather to settle in so I can do some actual riding outside of the immediate area!
-
Hey David, I just bought the 2008 motocycle buyer's guide in the grocery store today. I saw your scooter in it. It sounds like it flies for a scooter.
That is does. I'm anxious for some really nice weather so I can take it somewhere remote and actually find out what it'll top out at. Thats the damn first question people ask when you tell them you have a scooter.
-
