    love

I consider that verse often and hope that great love is in us when we need it most.
  2. The USO fed us extras at the Cleveland MEPS. They donated some fruit, snacks, drinks, and candies to us durring my 11 hour day up there for my enlistment. The lady volunteer was really kind and generous. They had sitting out some new test. mini bibles in camo too! I got a kick out of that. God bless our troops now and always.
  3. interesting it's missing wings

    down on the river

Too bad the sun was so bright that day! hehe. You're a trooper out in the rain and all.
  5. The time table is set for early Jan. enlistment. ASVAB test taken. "Quick score" of 75. The next step is to narrow my top four down to the one MOS, find an open spot, and finish the process.
  6. Merry Christmas girlie

  7. Merry Christmas......enjoy!

  8. Got ya. Thanks for explaining. One quick question: Getting into Air National Guard would require going thru a Air Force recruiter...yes? Air National Guard is more likely than the Ohio National Guard to relocate me to another state,...yes or no?
  9. Thank you. Yesterday went very well with the recruiter. I am looking thru the MOS's still. Here are some I am thinking on: Armament Repair Ammunition Specialist Small Arms/Artillery Repairer Signal Suppot System Specialist......describe this one if you can?? Mental Health Specialist Radiology Specialist these are just ones that jump out at me. i haven't talked any of them over with recruiter, but that may be better anyway. i want to chose the ones i may like before he informs me of where i may or may not fit in best. going to visit the akron/canton drilling location Saturday .
  10. If the other person feels strongly enough to want to argue, then you got to face that the issue holds some value to them personally. I think anything is worth talking about......that's just my perspective on things. Talk, argue, fight, whatever you gotta do to work thru it.....right?
  11. Are you having married life crisis too? JK When I am mad I get loud. I say things that I feel.....not always the truth. (much better to stick to the truth in an argument) I have learned lately that calm fighting is much better than emotional fighting. You get more out of it. You see the other side more clearly, you hurt less when it's over too. Good luck. Fighting is healthy, but it should be worth fighting for or else you do more damage than healing...ya know?
  12. So, Air National Guard.....you can get into this and it is a division of National Guard, not the Air Force? Forgive my lack of knowledge. I want to know for sure. I am going to be on my way here to meet with my recruiter and I am taking notes so I don't get lead down a death path. I want this so bad, but it's got to worth it. My brother-in-law's brother is in the US Air Force. He is a cargo plane flyer. He has been in Italy for sometime. He loves it. He is single too. I know my husband is not ok with my interest in the National Guard. I am getting heat from all sides. I still really want to do this.
  13. I will ask about Air National Guard.....that's interesting. Thank you. GI bill -important stuff. All good to know.
  14. The advice is appreciated! I am making a list.......anything else you would have done different? Throw it out. I am listening. I like the 31B MP. Don't know if I am cut out for it? We'll see where I fit in, but I desire to get into something that will be good for long term also. Air National Guard?....um, I don't know too much in that department. I will ask recruiter to take me to the unit where I would be drilling. Thanks for bringing that up.
  15. How many deployments since you have been serving? What goes on when you report for your monthly weekend duties? I have 71% of application completed....man it takes alot of remembering.
  16. I understand this. You all get tossed into the shit together. Do you do your six phases of training within the 9 weeks of basic? What do you mean about the "off to schooling"? Are you talking about the AIT? Yeah...2-10 months. This just depends on your MOS...right?
  17. Just finished speaking with a rep from Army National Guard. My appointment with the local recruiter is this Wed. Ready to get the ball rolling. I've been filling out the application all morning. I know it's more than just 9 wks. It's a 6 yr. contract. You have to have an MOS before you enlist. It all gets written-up in the contract. I would be out of state for training. any of the female locations. Don't know?
  18. I desire to. I plan to talk to a recruiter today. Ken is peed-off about it...just a little. We talked. I would really enjoy the nine weeks basic. I need a challenge right now. Then the extra funds could help pay off some stuff and fund track days...ya know. What for an MOS? I am thinking still.
  19. Is anybody in the Army National Guard? Any who have gone thru Basic Training at the Canton/Akron location?
  20. and I am in agreement that a gsxr1000 w/ all the fancy race stuff in it would possibly out perform the MV line, but it's just not as stylish. Batman has eveything. Just roll out an 120,000k bike from behind some wall in your mega underground garage and hop on.
