  1. Sorry man, not my route so i couldnt make to many changes. :-( Manybe we'll cross ya'll somewhere out there.......
  2. Yep, we all meet to start at the church....we leave at 9:30 am!
  3. ****Here is the fast route*** From Columbus "33 to 78 and 78 all the way across. Beallsville (Beallsville Diner) will be the lunch stop and then we will head south to the great roads"
  4. ok, so i got an email from the guy leading the ride (his name is John Mathis). He may have the slow group and fast group take two different routes to meet at the lunch spot about the same time. I sent him an email this morning asking for the approximate time we'd be meeting for lunch and where. Hopefully it is a spot close to you guys out of Columbus and we can meet there. I hope to have the info posted on here later today or tonight. Hopefully this will work out for everyone. Thanks guys!
  5. I had to take a look at the route again and it doesn't look like we are going through McConnellsville until we are on our way back to Columbus. In my first post is the route, as it stands today, we are taking to get out to 536. Sorry man, looks like unless you come to columbus in the morning we wont be able to ride together on this one.....
  6. Well, to be honest i think we'll be gone all day we leave at 9:30 sharp from Calvery Chapel (addy below) and i dont expect us back until early evening or so.....300 miles at posted speed limit with all the back roads and stuff would be around 8 or 9 hours total, but that doesnt include stops. Its just hard to gauge, i'm sorry. As far as the slow group, this will be the first time this we'll do this so i'm not sure....i don't want to discourage you from coming, but i don't want to mislead you either. I'll try to confirm the two group situation today. 6075 E Livingston Ave Columbus, OH 43232
  7. I wish i knew. We usually stop around 11 or 11:30 to get lunch and on this route i'm not sure where that will be. After lunch we are going pretty good and haven't stop much.....however the other two ride where at least 120 shorter than this one so, i'm not sure what the plan is to taking breaks. Probably will be worked out Saturday morning.
  8. Yeah, unfortunately my mom's graduation plans got cancelled so that freed me up. I'm sure i'll be in the back as well with the Katana....i learned on this bike, but haven't really riden it in the twistes....although its a good touring bike. Besides it's my girls and i really dont want to bring it home in any other fashion then the way i leave on it. :-) i'd never hear the end of it......
  9. glad you're ok! Just got to make sure you get back up and ride again in your own time. :-)
  10. not that i'm aware of except you. :-) that shouldnt stop you....although headaches could. :-( Hope to see you there.
  11. I don't have a head count at this time, but the front group will be whomever wants to be in it so not sure about the numbers. I'm thinking there will be at least 10 people, some have pulled out because of the 300 mile range we are looking at round trip. I think anyone would have fun on the trip....rusty 996's pretty fast and he hasnt complained yet....to me at least :-) Come on out if you got nothing to do and bring anyone else if you like. I'll be there on a greyish katana and red jordan jacket so come over and introduce yourself.
  12. ^^^^ now how can you pass up that deal????? LOL!!!! He said the whole pizza....we're talking about an extra large pizza right? IDK on this one...so i'll remain silent on it..... :-)
  13. Sweet!!! Hopefully the weather will stay the way it is. :-)
  14. Sweet!!! Hope you all can make and the weather stays nice. I think its about 300 mile give or take a couple miles. I know we'll stop for lunch someplace and gas as well. I'll have the katana because my zzr is still in the shop from our last ride. :-(
  15. prayers sent buddy. I'm sure you be fine. :-)
  16. I think we are doing two groups - advanced and not so advanced. Hopefully we do this so everyone stays together, last ride there was some separation....Anyway, i agree with J and say leather jacket and gloves and boots. Leather pants are up to you, i'll probably have mine one, but again its up to you. Please invite anyone you like as well, they dont have to ride a sportsbike either. :-)
  17. Looks like i'll be on the Kat for this so i'll be riding super slow, but i'll be there. :-)
  18. 26 looks like a heck of a road as well. How is that one, anyone know?
  19. thats a guy and his girlfriend from the katriders.com. Its a real pic, but she was just acting like she was texting. He posts vids all the time running the Gap on his katana. They may not be fast, but they can get down like gixxer, cbr, and the like if you know how to ride them. Plus this guys lives near there so he know the roads like the back of his hand. He's got some skill and his girl is always with him as well.
