  1. imo go for the 1000. although if you still get the gixxer them a 650 would be cheaper on insurance and better on gas.........so i officially chance my stance only if you have the gixxer 750 still. :-)
  2. bad enough have to look out for cagers....now wild animals are gunning for us bikers. Shame, shame.....

  8. Thanks! If i keep it long term i'll probably do the frame. If I dont keep it, I won't :-)
  9. What up! Just had the wheels painted - I'll probably get them powder coated in the future, but the Misses got her Katana painted and the dude had some left over paint so he hooked me up with the wheels on mine. I think it looks a lot better with black wheels compared to the original color that matched the frame. What you guys/gals think?
  10. Hey guys and girls, There is a ride on 04/11/09 with the CSBA here in Ohio. Everyone is invited if you are interested. We'll be stopping for lunch at sonic and riding back to Columbus. It's a total of about 173 miles round trip. I've never riden with them, but they seem like good folks and said they like to run, but no one is left behind. Check it out below and i'll try to attach the map: oh-csba.com We will have monthly rides on the second Saturday of the month beginning April 11th To keep consistency and attract more riders we are going to have the same departure location each month. The departure location will be Calvary Chapel of Columbus at: 6075 E. Livingston Ave Columbus, Ohio 43232 We will depart for the ride at 9:00am.
  11. i have an eastpack from wal-mart for $20. holds the laptop and books and lunch all at once.
  12. i ordered my two titanium slip on through them on 1/20/09 and had to hound them to the info about it and it was finally delivered on 9th of this month. I won't buy from them anymore. I finally got a hold of them by there online im service. They have several bbb issues for shipping - looks like especially with exhaust. Sorry should have posted my issues with them before.
  13. Thanks everyone. I won't flame anyone who thinks "its gay or waygay" that's your opinion. I actually don't like the empty space an undertail leaves....i think it looks like it is missing something back there, but that's my opinion. :-) To each his own.
  14. i hope you find out. i also have a garmin nuvi 200w that i mount to my bike. I was told it could happen if you register on their website (which is free), but i didnt figure it out.
  15. What up, I'm looking for a hugger for my zzr 600 and i have found they are either made from ABS plastic or fiberglass and I'm not sure which would hold up better. Any thoughts? Price is about the same or close enough to not make a difference. Thanks

  19. had a couple small crashes when i was learning to ride Thank God! 1. Couple weeks into riding and feeling pretty confident just riding through the neighborhood. Pulled up to a stop sign with two other cars. tried to wave them on, but they insisted i go so i went and gave it to much gas, pulled the clutch and got scared. hit the curb and jumped off the big, we both landed in the grass unharmed 2. couple months into riding and going back and forth to work. On lunch brake and was going to the pony, i was pulling into the auto zone next door and saw a bike like mine and didnt see the F250 coming at me in the parking lot. grabbed the clutch not the brake (only going about 10 mph) and hit the curb and almost crashed through the window by the parts counter.....i have to say (now) it was pretty funny cause noone was hurt, but you should have seen the guys faces in auto zone when my katana (at the time) was engine revving and the highlights blinding the old guy working the cash register. LOL!!!! Thanks God i have had a real bad crash!
