I just ran Fri, Sat, Sun, followed by a workday then concert, then worked a double. I went to bed last night at 630pm and still feel like I got hit by a bus. I gotta get my fat ass back into shape asap.

Nope, that is false, it is blocked, I tried. I have to wait until I get home for that. The only famous person I ever met was Chris Hansen on Dateline NBC...
-
Jobby job... me too, sit at my desk, work my files and browse OR, Motoseries, and Wera...

Oh dude sorry to hear that bro. Get things in order then worry about track time man. Good luck.

Absolutely, I know we had 1-2 people turning about low to mid 1.30's all day, I turned a 1.25 Saturday and shaved 1.1 off for Sunday's races after school. As a whole the I/O group was anywhere from 1.40ish to like high teens(including school members), so about 25 seconds. I agree with taking a Race School earlier than later BUT only if you are really ready, get your N days in, run a few I days, THEN go to race school. People lose focus on what N days are truly about, they are about becoming a better, safer track rider. Not just about going faster, or being bored in it. The braking and gearing sessions are VERY important and help with everything all the way to racing. Our instructors talked about those session every class time. Unfortunately, it isn't just about thinking you can go fast, it is about what your talent level can truly handle at that time. My instructor actually told me that becuase I was pushing real hard before lunch, too hard. He waived me off the track and said listen, you are right on the limits and you need to take a step back. He said it wasn't a limit of the bike, tires, track, but a limit of MY ability, he made sure to let me know that this wasn't a knock on me, but just a fact and that seat time = high limits. I respected the heck out of that becuase I could have gone down, hurt myself, someone else, or just ran stupid, but I came in, gathered myself and ran some better times after

wanta, If you run I/O with Fasttrax/motoseries etc. you should be fine. I ran my first I/O this season at Mid O after taking 2 years off and never running Mid O above N before and was fine. As long as you can hold a line and keep up a decent pace you are good. I ran with Dubguy earlier this year and he is stupid fast, so he bumped right to A, and I ran mid to back pack with I/O but it was my 2nd I/O day EVER.

He needs some new zip ties and duct tape, nothing major. Actually just glad he is okay after seeing the bike come off. I am out this weekend, Eldora from Wednesday night until Sunday/Monday for races. Everyone ride safe and enjoy, wish I could make it.

Yeah the Motoseries race school is legit, I was heistant at first I will admit because I was under the same impression on Wera etc, for the future, but I talked to Apch8r about it and he clarified everything. Motoseries race school is great, both of the days they held it at Nelson, was 1 on 1 with an instructor for 6 full sessions, and then the 7th is an open session with 3 series of mock starts, then full out open session. Classroom time is VERY informative etc. and you can expect to improve greatly. It also helps there are guys riding everything from Duc's to SV's to 1K Jap bikes, and everyone can pair up with someone. For instance, the first session I paired with Andrew(instructor) and we ran a pretty quick pace, actually lapped one other student, but through the day, everyone improved and became much faster. By the end of the day, one student who raced Sunday was running something like 6 seconds better than his AM sessions and ran really well Sunday too. Not me unfortunately, but I still learned a ton. They cover, passing, drafting, flags, general safety, and basically anything you can think of. The way I was told to look at it is that it is a Novice day at a way faster pace with about the same track time, but look to improve on other things than during a novice day. For the price and the amount of instruction, I would highly recommend it. A++

I saw this and was like omg my F250 will finally be done for winter... Then say 50 inch. sad face.

I have a set of these, brand new, never worn, just the wrong size. I had sent my old pair back to Astar to get restitched, then realized that I wore mediums, not smalls. They are the red/white color scheme, and are still in the package and I believe have the tags on them. I might have taken the tags off, but I have NEVER worn them. I really just need to sell these to get a decent pair of backups for the track as I could squeeze into these, but would prefer to go up to mediums. 75.00, or shoot me an offer, they are in my track gear bag, but I don't really need them. Thanks!

I can confirm Craig actually offered favors for Brian when he was telling me how much better the bike ran.... Brian if you get lonely, just call Craig.
-
Oh trust me, I hear ya, but I think they are hoping being Upper Int. to Ad. there won't be any.. knock on wood lol. But I totally hear you bro.

Yeah man, what he said, don't just jump on races/warmers/genny, that would be a waste right now. I stepped up from my Bridgestones that were on the bike, B16 I think, to Pures and love them. Im running good times, not having issues, and definitely would buy another set, more for track days next season, then maybe step to race tires and warmers for races, BUT that would be further down the season next year. Plus race tires are $$$$$.

Because its 3 hrs non stop, ride as much as you want. If you actually break it down it's the best bang for the buck. Think of it like this; 20 mins on/20 off, that means 5 sessions possible. Apch8r had to explain it to me for it to make sense, but it definitely does. And I have heard NO ONE goes, like it's awesome.

Stay safe bud and thank you for your service.

I was next to Apch8r, Blue, TTR, etc. We were busy too with race school, so Jen and I didn't really get to relax much either through the day and were pretty slammed busy. Blue is Jen on the site?

If I do either that weekend it will be Mid O. Which is the plan as of right now. Im sure I will have "mandatory" OT again that weekend, but see how that turned out last weekend?

Do want.

Thanks Brian, and ya, may not wanna give me a pat on the leg yet, still a little fresh and I might wet myself. But that is my main thing is just holding the line and trying to be a predictable and safe rider. I had no idea how much more I would learn in the race through the laps, but it was unreal.
-
LOl no, but Im out for sure on the 15th, doing 3 days this past weekend I am way to beat and need to spend some cash on the actual bike. Sorry!

Great write up, I was just posting my take in the other thread as well, and I couldn't agree more. I knew I was slow, but knew I was at least at race pace and can run a safe race line so I signed up Sunday after race school Saturday and running Friday too. Brian is right, get in shape! I am way too out of shape and that mini 20, I came in and was almost in tears, I can't imagine how you did with all those races you ran. Great post, and everything is spot on. Again, thanks for not lapping me 3 times, and keeping every pass clean. Next time my goal might just be to only have you lap me once! You are stupid fast bro! See you at Mid O later this month. I need some time to recover.

Tyler, did you stop over to the OR banner bro? I didn't see ya if so. I was on the Red/Yellow GSXR 600 #539. I heard you were there, but I was in race school and Andrew gets a tad long winded at times, plus it was 1 on 1 work all day and I really learned a ton. Friday's up there are AWESOME by the way, if anyone can make 1/2 days or what not to get up there after work, do it! 65bux split into 2 sessions now, and we got I think 5 sessions in before someone went down in the Caresoul. Jinu, hope you are okay buddy, you looked ok, heard your ankle was a bit bad, but the bike, well just get some zip ties bro. Took 3 seconds off my times Friday following Craig around, thank you Craig for the tow, basically all night. It was really nice of you to take your time to help me out, plus you ran a 1.16. Saturday was HOTT, my leathers have sweat marks all over and so does my seat. But race school was great, I didn't shave any time of IN school, but I learned a lot. I had 2 moments in the kink, but that was about it. Good day rode HARD. Mock starts are awesome, I got several people on the second and third, then got passed I am sure by all of them lol. Sunday, wasn't going to race....... Did, so glad I did. No idea what my bank account looks like, but oh well, the experience was worth it. Took about another 1.5 seconds off my time, I was still LAST, I admitted it, but I only got lapped twice by KTM Brian, and tried to follow his line a few times through the caresoul to pick up the pace, but my god is he fast. Both clean passes and no worries there. I learned a lot this weekend, can't wait to get back out and on the grid. The highlight of my weekend was saying I gridded 1 row behind KTM Brian, even if he did lap me twice. I could've used a little ass slap when he went around the second time, but that's okay. Thanks to everyone who helped me out this weekend; Brandon, thanks for letting borrow the scooter, next time I want the HOG. Craig, thanks for everything man, not sure where to start there. Nick, you looked good man, keep your head high bro, and your lines definitely improved over last time I was there with ya. You'r right there man! Joe, hope your bike gets running soon, just a lot of bad luck there. May wanna try to run some more open days, and don't be afraid to ask for Mentors more often, I know having 1 on 1 track school helped me a lot. Riding 3 days in a row, makes me feel like I just stayed my first night in prison.....

Well, we fixed that Monday the 29th with you and Pops. I need to wash and wax my trailer and clean the diamond plate real nice before that. Wanna help next weekend JK buddy, I am doing my truck and the trailer both. PS if you hear of any good toyhauler deals please let me know. Im going to try to sell my TT and enclosed at the end of the season I think and get a TH.
