U wactch yourself talking to me in that tone of voice on the net Mr. Next time I see you I will have to kick you square in the jimmy if you keep going like you are. How were the other races any good runs?
-
Someone went down on the back straight before the kink? WTF? and on an RC51, that is a rough day. Been there doen that in the Esses at Mid O and bus stop in Putnum, and fixing those bikes is $$$$. Congrats on winning, did you say there were 2 teams total entered? or only 1 other team that completed it, and was a lap down?
-
Yeah bro, no offense, you are way off here. I have a 6x13 with V nose, torsion axle(single), newer tires, and load it with 2 bikes, spares, tools, fuel, gear, 2 canopy's, etc and tow it with my F250, or friends Dodge 1500 without hemi, and it doesn't even flinch. Enclosed trailers are def. a great investment, I know, I bought one too lol.

I am heading to Michigan in 2 weeks actually as well if I can help deliver. Will be there 30/31.

Try not to get overly drunk again and miss your wakeup call.... LOL Actually, don't drink anything if you are riding tomorrow, just isn't smart.
-
If I can get out of work I would go Saturday. As of right now it is 100% required OT for everyone.... Jason and Theresa are going Sunday I believe, or Saturday, one of the two.... This is also Vintage weekend at Mid O, so Id really like to go cheer Brian on and a few friends I know that run that weekend. Who knows...
-
Oh no, it was only his second track because it was his 3rd track day EVER, ALL on the KTM. AKA the dude is baller and super nice. He will be riding a ton more tracks, Putnam next month, and more in CA over the winter he said. Dub talked to him more than I did, but I did get to hold the bike while he put it on stands at the end of the day.
-
Brian, if I recall there might be a certain someone who would be looking to buy a Demo at the end of the year too....
-
Haha, yeah, funny how that works... Gpa passed last year, and after upgrading their kitchen from the studs up, ripping out all their landscaping and 1/3 of the drive to be replaced with pavers and new cement, having the landscaping all redone, and paying off their house, they still need to spend more. Im an only child and they dont want to leave too much green for me. A-holes lol. But for real, I will talk to him once I get more info on this, he has been pricing them for a few years and with the new geo-thermal unit might be good timing.

Yeah saw a lot of them last weekend, well 2 lol. Petey from Indy had one, along with a 300K hauler, and has the Red Bull spec KTM too at home in Cali. That would be his winter house for when they leave Indy. Only other track from Mid O he has run is ..... Laguna Seca..... $$$$ BALLER. And this thing was CLEAN, and he was asking me about serving it like I had a clue, because at the end of the day his oil light and screen were telling him it was past due for service. I told him to talk to Brian not me lol. Oh and Brians but that is because he is DA MAN!!!! When Petey passed me on the back straight the 2nd to last session, I went in my pants, but then caught back up in the technical area, and didn't even consider passing because that bike was so nasty and I would hate myself had something happened. Nice dude Petey was. I want to be his friend so I can kick it in his hauler between sessions next time at Mid O or at Putnam in Aug.

Let me talk to my parents on this, they have been looking for a while, and just retired so they have all this cash to spend. I need more details though ASAP as I will be with my pops all weekend at the races. Where'd you buy from, specs, brand, etc. A link would be great. They are also updating their heating/cooling geothermal unit, so they are looking to get everything done right away. Thanks.
-
Yeah that was you, sharp bike man.
-
CBosman, I think I saw you actually, but didnt know you were OR. You cant miss that I am with my huge OR sticcker on my belly pan, both sides. Track was AMAZING!!! can't wait to hit it next month. Rusty... any news on the bike?
-
Haha, RIGHT!
-
Yeah having just looked for enclosed for several months, this thing will easily take 2 bikes, even if 1 or both are cruisers. Had this been for sale 4 mos ago it would be sold already and we would both be very happy lol. Anyways, this is a killer deal, if this goes on Craigs(if it isn't) I would def. ask like 1750+ as they are selling all over the place for that.

As of right now, I can't do this event, BUT I may be a LAST LAST minute signup. Gotta see what my plans are for next month. I want to ride Putnam 1 time this year min. but I want to ride Mid O at least 2 more times..... STT ROCKS! -
Might be some local cats in one of the town dumpsters down the street you all could bring for more burgers.
-
Brian, Mor. did. Check his links, they are listed per level.

Got a good shot of Dubguy in A, none of me in Int lol I believe I saw ya in the pits but not real sure, I was the black/red 06 GSXR #539.

Epic success today for this guy and Dubguy. Great trip, hit the road from Polaris right at 6:20, stopped at 95 for fuel and water and hit the track at 7:30. Signed right up, got our garage setup, and then the fun began. Dub ran balls off like usual, damn he is fast, dad told me he was rocking it so fast he couldn't keep track of his bike at times on the front straight at the scorers area. I had a solid run, minus ending up in the gravel pit in the first session after lunch, just cool tires, and didn't think enough after eating to warm them 1 lap. I am guessing the tires would have stuck, but I just stood her up coming out of thunder valley into 12(I didn't master that turn for some time today for some reason), and rode straight through the sand trap into the carousel grass, stopped, got back on, pitted in the check for any extra sand etc. and then turned 3 more sessions with all great laps. Weather was perfect, hot and humid, but it is Ohio, and there was actually a breeze. Food was slamming, maybe why my mind was a tad out of it after lunch (I am fat and love food), but all in all great ran track day. I would love to hear what came of the 2 KTM rentals that the Novice group decided to do some damage to? I saw a white one come in wadded up and saw a black one when we were packing up come in too, but didn't see any damage. Hope the riders are okay, and huge props to Mid Ohio and KTM for hooking people up with those. Especially after the one riders bike broke, Mid O and KTM went out and let the dude use one, unplanned, and unscheduled. I am not sure who gets the most props, but I am guessing KTM as someone had to okay it or either way they supplied the bikes. Thanks again to Dubguy, and KTM Brian for their help. I might be wrong but the cold pressures I ended the day with for the Pilot Pures were front at 28, and rear right at 26. Brian helped me get a starting point in the AM, and after they heated up about 4 psi was to be had, and seemed to get the best results once I dropped them off starting at 30 and ended at the colds listed. Anyone looking at doing August days, I am definitely going to be going back for at least 1 if not 2 depending if I make another trek to Grattan/Gingermen.

Just got back from dinner, saw some kid, late teens-early 20s on a cruiser, literally holding his cell between his head and his shoulder, and using it. I wish I was kidding because I almost whipped the car around and beat his ass for being so Fing stupid. I mean I normally stick up for cyclist, but lately, I have been having a hard time, some people are just stupid.
-
Twisted I was about to say, that was the couple sitting right in front of us. I had no idea the toss was that close, dang wish I had stayed but Thunder Valley was sooo cool(literaly temp wise) and never had seen the race from that viewpoint. Yeah AMA is way more enjoyable than GP, more down to eart. How about the guy that hit the trap twice same one, China Beach at the end of hte back straight, ended up partying on the top of the motorhome with the Ducati flags in the Esses. That was epic for sure. That is why I spend so much time at the dirt track races vs. NAPcar, or Indy, or anything like that. They are way more down to earth people and you can actually drink beer with them after the race. I know, because I do, often, and often times too many. This whole weekend we are going to 2 tracks with some of the top racers in our series and just kicking it non stop. AMA = LOVE
