Turn it in, get bike totaled, get fat check, buy bike back, spend some to repaint, profit. It sounds like you have another bike to ride while all of this goes on so what's the problem? Glad you're okay.
Are you getting it tuned or anything? Have a map ready to put on it? If you're putting it on the dyno don't put on your PC til you're getting ready to get the bike on the dyno. If you're putting on a pre made map make sure you have it ready to go. You'll want to go get it put on a dyno regardless. GL.
A SV is a great bike. I had an 07 with a slip on and PC with a tune and it did everything I asked it too. Decent for two up riding and a great commuter. V-Twin is sexx. Parts are cheap, suspension is easily upgradeable/swapped for more aggressive riding if need be and insurance is lots cheaper. If you're new to bikes too it will allow for a better learning curve than a 600 IMO as well.
I always wore gloves, helmet, boots and leather jacket. I also always wore Dickies or Khaki pants so that was me slacking. I never bought a good pair of riding pants and one of my knees suffered once. Get a perforated, thin leather jacket. My gloves went down further than my wrist so I'd unzip my jacket a the wrists for better airflow. A pair of jean riding pants with knee pads will serve you well too.
One of the things I learned riding with Hutch and the CSBA people is KEEP YOUR OWN PACE. Also, ride in single file in the twisties. Two abreast at the stops and through then back to single file. Follow someone who knows the road and don't get too close to the front if you're not comfortable. Having someone on your ass trying to pass you safely is more than you need to worry about when you can't even keep your own line straight. Practice practice practice. Keep your head up and keep scanning in front of you!
These are those pictures I think. The guy that ran from the cops at 140 on streets he didn't know at all at 4 a.m. in the dark, and got caught on straight roads on the zx14. Scars and stories are cooool.
Brand: Alpinestars GP Pro Gloves (2 Pair) Color: Blue and White Size: M Condition: Used and Down Price: 35 per pair OBO Pics upon request Ordered from Riders Discount Both pair of gloves have been involved in accidents. Both left gloves have minor wear, both just show dirt scratches and one has a minor scuff in the plastic that protects your inside wrist and a scuff on the palm leather. The leather has not been ripped/ broken on these gloves. Both right gloves have damage to the leather. One has a small tear in the bottom left of your palm. (Added leather protection in this area) I would feel comfortable wearing this glove again and it holding up just as well. Second glove has a tear in a similar spot but is deeper. Good way to make some extra pairs of gloves if you seem to be in a similar situation as me but on the opposite hands.
Motorcycle Boots Brand: Alpinestars S-MX Plus Size: 44 Euro Color: Black and Blue Price: 120 OBO Pickup Only I wear a size 10 converse and these are just a 1/2 size U.S. larger than I would like. I have no more use for these right now and they're a little too wide for my feet as they are. Went down once in them. They have string on the inside to tighten firmly to your foot, a zipper up the side and have a buckle along the top. Light scuff on the right boot and toe slider Light scuff on left boot toe slider Pictures upon request
It all comes with self confidence. The biggest thing I learned riding is that you have to trust that you gave yourself a safe line to follow within your limits while looking ahead at where you want to go, not paying attention where you are. Keep the front balls of your feet on your pegs and know your tires will handle more than you're throwing at them. Get a track day under your belt too. I never got a chance at the track, but I'm jealous of the skill the other riders I rode with had from track day instruction.
I had Shift Fuel boots for going around town and some A* SMX for my more spirited rides. Both have saved my toes/feet going down during spirited riding and held up extremely well.
Doesn't look like this riding season, but it could happen mid to late summer for all I know. I'm keeping all my gear, just getting rid of these stands.
Title says it. Brand: S Spec Price 60 obo picked up. I can't deliver these. Looking to get these out of the closet and they're taking up space. I won't deny any reasonable offers.
