  7. The state Supreme Court ruled Monday that the University of Colorado cannot ban concealed-weapon permit holders from bringing their guns to campus. And while gun-rights activists are celebrating the ruling, CU says it discounts the regents' authority to govern safety on its campuses. Colorado's highest court sided with Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, a gun-rights group that filed a lawsuit against CU in 2008, arguing that a university policy banning concealed weapons from its campuses violates state gun laws.

  10. Since at least 2010, researchers at GRASP Lab at the University of Pennsylvania have been working with nano quadrotors, managing to get them to fly aggressively, build a tower structure and now — fly in perfect formation. The video posted by GRASP makes it clear the robots now know how to maintain distance from each other, shift positions when obstacles are in their way, and even fly in a figure-eight pattern. CNET reports that the research is a step toward coordinating robots for searching areas after a disaster, or for surveillance.

  12. I've been with friends who live in Littleton (Denver) while we used a Garmin Oregon for day hikes. I believe he has the 450t based on me not recalling it having a camera, and it seemed solid. Rain and me dropping it had no effect on reception, but this may be normal for all Garmin products or all hiking GPS. Very limited experience is all I have, sorry.
