  1. saw a thing on TV a while back, the bikes they were really riding were Ducati Hyper motards, (really CG'd!!!!) LOL but Ducati was trying to get them to keep the exhaust sound the same, haven't seen it yet, so maybe they did...
  2. So california superbike school is having a one day camp at VIR 9/1, i have decided i am going, any tips before i go? Twist of the wrist two and Sport bike techniques I am currently reading, so lets hear your advice? I am pretty sure I am going to use their bike, (cheper if i go down on it!) dam I hope not though! I am going to do all the riding i can between now and then edit: I can get a trailer to pull with my truck that will hold two bikes and my tool box, if anyone wants to take their own bike, i might be able to help.
  3. glad to hear you are ok Jess, and that you got up and walked away!!!
  4. 07 Silverado, V6, i get about 20-22 everywhere, pulls more then i ever need it to, i;ve had the back full of wood, and pulled smaller trailers never knew they were ever there. the duc had a 55.3" wheelbase and can close the tailgate, my 78 suzuki gs550, i have to canter it, but it still closes. edit: its the shortbed
  5. So I am taking a page out of someone else's book (from chris and Matt), and had a good idea I think! (maybe) I'm buying twist of the wrist two and sport riding techniques, and was thinking that after i read them it would be kinda neat, (or maybe just a novelty) to put in the front name/bike/date read, and pass it on to the next new guy to read it, AS LONG AS THEY SWEAR TO PASS IT ON WHEN THEY ARE DONE! thoughts? no limit as to whom as long as they keep it in Ohioriders

  11. I just might give ya a call about that, my work hours are so screwy right now they might almost be normal!
  12. Looks like all the OT i got at work tonight will allow me to bail early on thursday, so I am hoping to make it! especailly now that I have the Full fairing kit back on!
  13. I had a similar problem on my 1978 Suzuki, a ran the fuel almost to the reserve and dumped an entire bottle of Sea Foam into it, smoked like hell, for a bit, but after I ran that for about 5 minutes, (have to play with the throttle to keep it running and get the other jets kicked in) topped off the tank and it runs a whole lot better now! $10 for a bottle. Have a fuel can handy, you won't want to ride it til you top it back off!
  14. So i bought a spanner wrench, and adjusted the coil over to about mid-may, and wow its like a brandnew bike! handles so much better now!
  15. i beleive the correct term in mandem! no way! i turned down $150 last summer from some guy who was tired of riding in the car with 4 other guys, no way!!!

  20. Anyone around cinci familiar with suspension adjustments? My rear shock is almost all the way down, the PO was short and umm. portly, i'm sure it can't be the greatest performance for stock being that low, i think I've read that the Duc 750SS's do the best with the tail up higher, any thoughts or anyone care to offer assistance? I'll buy the pizza and soda!
  21. my grandpa actually devised a garage door that REALLY worked like that, it included a tuning fork that was tuned to the frequency of the horn being blown, gma didn;t care for it to much but it worked!
