I will be at the speedway on 41 and N elm in Troy, oh (exit 74 off of 75) at 1630 on June 25 and I plan on taking a nice easy ride up 55 to Urbana, grab a burger at the smallest hole in the wall place I can find, then heading back the same direction. If you want to ride then great! If you don't want to ride or don't want to ride ATGATT, my feelings won't be hurt. I will have at MINIMUM helmet, gloves, jacket, tall boots, and long jeans.

Where are you located at? Im in T-Roy Ohio, and have similar issues with an old '78 Suzuki GS550, that my gf has claimed as hers! Was supposed to be my Cafe racer project, but oh well, long as she is happy, life is easier for me!! But any who, grandpa has a harmonic cleaner that I plan on running my carbs thru, (dont have to worry about damaging any metal with safety wire that way) I'm sure I could run yours thru too, I'm in columbus often for work, so maybe we can work something out? If you want to buy new needle seats and gaskets I'll show you how to rebuild the carbs (it's supereasy!) and once you have the carbs back on the bike I can bring over carb sync'ers..

+1 for the rock island armory 1911, I found this GI issue on sale, for about $375 (i think, it was a few years ago) but I've ran at least 1.5k rounds thru it, used everything between Winchester hollow points to cheap range reloads, and I've never had an issue with it. I keep two magazines, one is loaded with 4 or 5 rounds and the other empty, I rotate them when I clean them, every week if I shoot or not.. So I don't stretch the springs out, seems to be the biggest problem with any magazine... For my daily carry, I have a Taurus PT140 .40 cal, 3.5 inch barrel 10+1 capacity, easily 2k rounds, never jammed, had 2 failure to fire while using range reload ammo, but it has the "second chance" on it, so every time you squeeze the trigger the firing pi drops! when carrying I use only Winchester hollow points, and treat it the same as my 1911, 1 mag at half capacity, the other empty, clean and switch every week. I can easily make 2" shot groups at 10 yards all day long with this gun, Edit: its the jarhead in me that makes me clean them everyweek...
