I should have it back in the next couple of days... he had her all tore down on friday and was going through the carbs all over. its has to be something stupid since it will accelerate as fast or faster than newer 600's

Had me worried there till sam said something..... I started with spike windsheild bolts and did the body and spike bar ends. it does have a loud paint job, chrome swing arm and rims..... but I am fromt the other side of the fence and like some show to my rides. Yeah, I aint anywere as talented on the CBR and 98% of the riders on here, but I'm old enough that I am very cautious and learning. Anyhoo, mainly hate stupid people that don't wear the gear..................

I got a good one.... was driving a '92 civic sedan that was painted to the hilt. Had my company name and # on the back deck, rims, ect. The catch was that those danm cars the plate bolts (rear) seize up and you can't hardly do anything about it. Well, the car had only been done for about 2 weeks and I had the back plate jambed high left side of the back window, which was real visible from a long ways back. Not perfectly legal, but very visible. Twit of a Highway patrol man pulled me over, wife and kid in the car, you know what the first question this idiot asked me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS YOUR CAR? Well, Duh.......... no, I always take my wife and kid with me to hiest a car that couldn't hide if it had to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUMBASS..... That was his only question and or reason for pulling me over... never said anything else.

The surgery sounds crappy.... glad that is working out ok. (i hope) Don't talk with much anyone else on here and figured since you befriended me first I would bother you............lol I did get my ride back from the repair shop,but its not even close to being right. It still runs like crap and wont' idle. Now eccelerate, it will go like a bat out of hell. So I am taking her back on monday to hopefully get fixed the right way. I added spikes to the windsheild, fork covers, and body bolts. Gotta watch cleaning it now or you'll donate blood. lol Hope things get better down your way............... and get a new ride for christ sake.

Uh, as far as the style of jets..... I have no clue. This is a motorcycle shop I took it to and he does do good work so I don't want you guys to get the impression that we're just throwing things at it to try and fix it. Anyhoo, (nate) dang thing won't idle without some choke. If you go full choke she sounds like she is gonna blow up cause its running so fast. I'll ask tike about the vacuum leak thing............. that may be the ticket. I know its gotta be something stupid, cause it doesnt hesitate on acceleration and it is damn strong even up over 100. It just doesn't like going the slow. (kinda like a lot of you guys:D) I have the bike looking pretty sweet and I really don't plan on giving up on it. Much of the work I have had done has been bartered, so I don't really have that much out of pocket. Thanx for the help............... i'll keep you posted

Yeah, he upped the fuel rate by putting in stage 2 jets..... he put 48 holes in the airbox to allow more flow... I wont touch the thing cause me and a wrench don't get along...............thats why I paint. Before he worked on it I put a vance & hines exhaust on it............ so he shouldn't have had any trouble setting the carbs to the rest of the bike. Like I also said, god knows what the past owner (s) have done that made this problem that much worse............. besides, the newer sport bike don't look as good to me as the older, more shapely ones do. I like some curves to my girls................

Just cause its got some age on it doesn't mean its done. Hell, like I said..........she'll run with new bikes when accelerating and yes, he does know what he is doing. The work was a swap job... I painted several bikes for him and he was doing the mechanical work. He'll get it worked out.................. venting I guess on what I hoped would be done and over with.

Picked up my baby today and she is still pretty sick........... he cleaned the carbs, new jets, etc. and it still runs the same as I took it (or maybe a little worse). You have to keep it at near half choke to even idle...... if you lower the idle while doing 55 she looses some power and runs rougher. I am so discusted that it isn't running right..... on excelleration you get all you can handle either from a stand still or doing 60. going to try and enjoy some riding the next couple of days and then take her back. Just not sure with what he has done or tried to do what he can pull out of his butt to get this thing right. One of its previous owners really screwed it up some where along the line.

Been stayn outa trouble? Just thought I would drop you a line and see what was up........... been crazy around the shop so I have been on and off a lot. Finally get the ride back from the shop today and plan on heading to delaware on saturday to go to cheshire choppers and may stop by that bike wash. later

Well, guess I may stop in................. I was actually plannin on going to Cheshire Choppers (about half way between delaware and 71 on 36) on saturday and will be there around that time. She'll be clean,but gettn a bath wouldn't hurt her any either. Somethin different I guess.......................

I would agree with keepn it due to the fact it is paid off............ the only pitfall to selling it right now is you won't get what you want, probably. With time gettn tight people aren't just thrown money around. Its a tough call, but I would hang onto it and if you want something else sell yours when people aren't so gun shy on spending. Just a thought........................

Either black or white.............. but with a twist. I have a honda color that is just a deep black, but it has a hint of blue metallic. Its not just boring black.............. white is the same.... put a slight dusting of a pearl over it. Sorry, basic colors just don't cut it for me anymore.

I took a customers bike to a show one time and when I took it out after the show to load it a guy walked up and said "nice bike" and promptly sat on it. Stood the bike up like he was gonna ride it and bounce up and down on the seat a couple times to see if it was comfy............... I didn't have a chance to say anything before my buddy (truck driver) unloaded on his ass for being such a f'k stick. I would rip anybody a new one for sittn on my ride!!!!!!!!! If the dip does'nt have a clue and wants to pretend to own a motorcycle for a couple minutes, what the hell would ya do if he got it off balance and dropped it. Nope, would rather look like an a'hole that have some wanna be screw up what I have put a good deal of money and time into. Guess that is why I am puttin a alarm on mine this year.

One of my families good friends just went through a bone marrow transplant....... he had done cemo but the cancer came back. Hope this works........... He isn't immediate family, but sure feels like one. Will be thinking of you and your pop.............

Crapolla..... stopped in the bike shop to get my baby and bad news. He was finishing up and the pet cock went to hell. He ordered a new on and it will (hopefully) be ready to roll on monday. He put new jets in my carbs............ stage 2's. Said she is scary fast now................... just what I needed, something to get me in even more trouble. lol

That sucks...... I just got the call yesterday that she was ready to go. I CAN'T WAIT.......... the only down side is the mechanics helper hit his head on one of my spikes. OOPS
