I am in the market for a nice looking exhaust for my CBR.... I had gotten a Vance & Hines SS2R slip-on, but no mid pipe. (cheap on ebay) Was told you can get the mid pipe.... contacted V&H in early January and ordered the mid pipe, was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks. They were nice enough to call me today that they will not be making my part for $34, but I can buy a new system for $300. Chrome is what I would like, so if anyone has one or would know were to get one for a reasonable price I would be thankful.

Thats a possibility........ I am some where in between the higher priced painters and the cheap asses. I could look at and hear what ya got up your sleeve.

funny you should ask that moose.... I got a 3/4 scale chopper that is in need of a real sweet paint job...... I have always been a fan of the celtic stuff and just might give that a shot. Looks like a good bit of work, but I love a challenge. (mild case of insanity doesn't hurt either)

Oh... that sucks......... it took me about 2 weeks to recooperate after that job. I hate it when there is a problem with a finish Ive done and will try and make it right, as long as its something I did to cause the problem. I have heard horror stories of guys taken a newly painted car for its first wash and blown half the side of the car off. YIKES

Thanks.... I better hit the hay. Gettn to old to stay up this late and get up early enough to get the kid to school.... anyway, it runs 75 a lot. The owner is up at Tecumseh, MI.... would you beleive I did that in 10 days! Had one person helpn me half the time with the base and the clear. Around 180 hrs in 10 days...... and was ready for its first trip going from chicago to shanksville, PA to ground zero for the 5th anniversary of 9/11. All along being led by chicago (and other) firefighter MC..... it was pretty sweet.

Don't like the "artist in action" shot...............lol. I hate the damn thing to, but the boss (wife) said I needed a pic of me workin on the site. Guess I could update it with somethin a bit better.

On full bikes (cruiser style) a tank and two fenders based goes for around $650.... then ya add to it for custom stuff or more advanced base coats. Anybody that wants to check out more can go to www.art-rigs.com. Thanks guys

My lid work starts up around $200 with a base color and simple design work.... sky is the limits from there. Paint damn near anything......... I do old skool flame work to real fire, from murals to portraits. I have three lids... the one posted, one that is a whole bunch of skulls piled over the whole helmet, and the other is all skull with a smoked visor. The teeth are on the top and bottom of the visor (so the mouth looks opened) and there is a suzuki "s" cut in the back.(of the skull) My sons is painted to look like wood with a creature bustn out of the back....... depends on how screwy ya wanna get.

cool..... I did'nt get the CBR till the later in the year last year, then it took me about a month getting it painted and fixed. I am addn some extra touches before it gets out this year and, like I said, I really want to hit some shows. Its fun and it is a great way to drum up biz.

eh, no... didn't make it up that way last year. I was up at that show with my wifes sport trac..... silver with a blue fade, broken columns on the side with rose vines and a portrait of my son on the back. Will probably be there this summer................ and any other bike show I can find. (and my wife will let me go too)

The visor has scrim (not sure if that is how ya spell it) on it....... the stuff you see in the back of pick up windows. You can see out but not in.......... I can buy it in plain white, then paint it what ever way I want to match the helmet and clear it. Its a sticker, basically................ the hard part is getting it laid flat on the curved visor.

The bail out is all BS........ has anyone of you been able to spend your way out of debt? Reducing taxes and passing out some cash to taxpayers would kick everthing in the ass, but then all the company fat cats with thick knee pads wouldn't get their bloated lumps of undeserved cash.

Oh crap..... this kinda post isn't good. Don't get me started........ the first thing is the lie of it being the first african american president. I started riding for the simple "I wanna try it before I get to old" thing....and now I am hooked. I am still very new to riding and have a lot to learn, but will ride every time I get the chance. Cheap transportion and a blast at the same time....... Oh, and chicks dig it. lol
