  1. I believe it, his pictures look pretty good. Love that helmet too.
  2. Same here, work can get pretty dull. Here's an example that randomly came up on the front page: Notice the bent arms, shoulders, where his head is, etc. These things make turning the bike much easier and more stable.
  3. Why would I do that? Then he'd be able to fight back.
  4. Wow, that's gorgeous! Awesome pics.
  5. This one? Baby steps, but an improvement nonetheless!
  6. Hey Chimay! That stuff's not bad. It's got nothing on Old Rasputin but it's not bad!
  7. Good advice, just be straight up and you might catch a break. Lucky!
  8. If this is "damn good" then I'd hate to see your definition of "bad" http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage.aspx?pi=0QAK00IW050784&po=784 Just offering advice. Modern bikes are so amazing you can get away with a lot, and he very well may be going at a quick pace, but just looking at a picture it's pretty obvious he taught himself how to ride. There are a lot things he could do and then that combined with the bravery he could be much quicker (and safer).
  9. Hmmm Magz, thought there was more to it than that. I'm too lazy to look for it today.
  10. Just wondering about this comment. I found it strange you called the cousin an idiot, they're just about equally geared?
  11. Took a while but finally loaded. I don't understand how it's "not a 1200gs competitor"? Seems very much aimed at that demographic.
  12. Last time we had this discussion it seemed the state law mentioned something about horizontal placement. Just sayin...
  13. Cool pics. Not gonna lie . . . at least you had the sense to wear a jacket. Not to mention some of those pics of your dude were a bit disappointing: elbows locked, leaning slightly away from corner, and of course the lack of gear. Why do you like this guy again? Oh yeah, he practically gave you a Repsol 1k
  14. Probably true with the last generation of Sprint. Comparing the current one they seem to have made some improvements. Per MCN: Honda VFR: 107hp, 59tq, 218kg Triumph Sprint ST: 123hp, 75tq, 210kg That being said I've only seen a few Sprints and haven't been able to ride one yet.
  15. I love the VFR but I think my next bike will probably be a Triumph Sprint ST (1055cc). Don't get me wrong, if the VFR was the last bike I ever owned I would retire a happy rider. Sometimes it was lacking in personality just ever so slightly. Pipes and paintjob make up for that a great deal. It's also nice that so few people really know what a VFR is. My complaint with the newer gen is the same as what 5th gen owners seem to say. The current series of VFR lost some character without the gear driven cams and added weight. Now I'm not fond of the 5th gen's looks at all, but it seems to be just as comfortable and just a bit sportier. The 6th gen is a great bike, but oddly the change from 5th to 6th wasn't really a step forward, maybe more of a step sideways. With some seat time I'm sure you'll be able to decide what's right for you. If you can only one bike the VFR does everything well and nothing badly.
  16. Thanks for telling me, now I'm going to be all mopey until next Thursday

  23. Actually come to think of it that might have been blue. Talking Scotch with a friend of a friend at a lodge and we were trying to decide if we liked the Walker or the Glenlivet. Definitely the Glenlivet 16 (I think it was) for me! Then someone put a few cans of Steel Reserve in my hand and like an idiot I washed all of the good taste away. Had to get it back. Been on a budget lately, haven't had much of the good stuff. I has a sad.
  24. Because Mustangs and Guitars are typically chick magnets. Just figured it out. You told her it was a 250 didn't you . . . D00D! Never tell em it's a 250!
  25. The only time I ever got sick was mixing Steel Reserve and Johny Walker Black label. Don't know why I did it, but will def not do it again. Oh and rofling at the key in the doorhole pic, been there
