  1. So went by the Pony last night since it was on my way. Tried on some Sidi's, 46 was too snug and I had dress socks on, 47 was a little wider too. So this morning I ordered the red Corsas! Thanks for everyone's input. It seems like people like a lot of different boots, but everyone I talked to that had the Sidi's was absolutely in love with them. That's worth a few extra $$$, hopefully these will last me quite a few years. Heck, maybe I won't even have to crash-test them.
  2. Nice RC, that is my dream bike . . . maybe someday . . .
  3. And the sequel to that race was this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZKRphfVHqI&feature=related
  4. Well the third link down on my first post had the Vertigo Corsa for $289. I definitely don't want to break $300 if I don't have to. I especially like them in red with the CF accents.
  5. I think I'll make a run by the Pony tonight and try the Sidi's on. I don't mind paying $$$ for something that is going to last and that I won't want to fling them off the second I put the kickstand down.
  6. Just spotted some size 12.5 vertigos on eBay . . . hmmmmmmmm
  7. HUGE improvement in looks/sound over stock. The 650's are way too quiet. Mine is towards - A* Apex pants (check) - Tires (milking the rear Qualifier) - Mebbe new boots - Save the rest
  8. ^^ Haha, I hadn't thought of that That's the next best thing to making your doodie twinkle Edit: Found this review of the Gaerne, these are now the frontrunners (in white) http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-boots/gaerne-grs/
  9. Oh and since someone put in a plug for the Joe Rockets (and my name is Joey) I found these too http://www.powersports4less.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=SU%20JRB%20757-0007
  10. I wear anything from a 12-13 as well. 43 will destroy me, wish I had normal feet and I would take you up on that Tomcat!
  11. So my current A* tech boots only just meet the bottom of the Apex pants and I'm not real happy about that. So, I may get myself a pair of boots to go better with my leathers and save the techs for jeans and shorter trips. Here are a few boots I found online, I'm partial to anything white or red. http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/sport/motorcycle+boots/diadora_xtreme+sport+boots# http://www.powersports4less.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=WPS%20480-10007 http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/boots/sidi/vertigo_corsa_motorcycle_boots.html http://www.newenough.com/boots/racing_boots/alpinestars/s_mx_5_motorcycle_boots.html Anything from "those look cool, those look dumb," or even any personal experiences with these or the brands I want to hear it. ^ That would be called a RUNE
  13. Nice Motard, every once in a while I see a nice one like yours and get really jealous. I'm in Newark, hopefully I'll see this thing at a meet up.
  14. Simple and elegant, that's a good lookin gixxer. You saved it from certain death I think.
  15. I work in State Farm claims and I can say from the inside it's quick, painless, and friendly. Now we're limited by the policies and how it's written. For example: only helmets are covered on our insureds not jackets, boots, etc. but a different story if you are the one getting hit. Being an ATGATT type of person I don't really agree. Surprisingly when I was shopping around I also found State Farm to be the cheapest. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. In any case I say shop around but this is generally a quite sincere company.
  16. The fanboys are everywhere . . . . . . . dang it, I like Triumph too
  17. Which would add new meaning to the term 'squid' . . .
  18. I give it a couple years and Japan will attach propellers to the mountains and the whole island will just take off.
  19. Aah so it's a tq advantage then. Berry berry interesting. I've got 2 valves per cylinder too, below 7k rpm. See ya around Newark.
