I withdraw the previous question. I know a Justin on the East side with a ZX-12. Welcome!
-
With carbon fiber grippies?

Welcome! I like those kawis, good looks and comfort! Now maybe the stats are misleading but the speed of a zx6? Well, might be close if my 200lb was on the zx6. Anyway, I ride a sport-tour also. Speed isn't everything. How tall are you at 135lbs? I sat on one of those at the dealership and the seat was nearly at BMW height.

Trying so bad to avoid spoilers . . . Read the graphic novel . . . that is all

Well thank you very much. I stare at other bikes all the time but when you can only have one bike to do everything I just can't find a bike better for me than the viffer. If you think it looks good now the I can't wait to get the fairings back on there. They're out at Auto Trim Design (Granville) getting some vinyl. The good thing is my family won't charge me much, bad news is he'll just have the fairings until he finds time. Oddly I think I'll miss having the bikes guts hanging out . . .

Alright here's a clip I did right after I got home from work. My phone takes great pictures but pretty crappy video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joUl86fQLeA

The masses hath spaketh! Flat black it is. The cans themselves are just the stockers. Cut them down the middle along the original weld and took out all of Honda's spaghetti(maybe 5 lbs worth per can). Then also sawed the end caps off and had him weld on a bent plate into an oval. It's really open and sounds nasty but I'll need to be wearing those earplugs. I'll try to get a sound clip up after work today. I can't believe how warm it's going to get while I'm in NYC. . . WITHOUT A BIKE!

Modified the stock exhaust on my VFR so that they're basically straight pipes. However, I'm not crazy about the bead blasted finish. Fairings will be back on pretty soon after some graphics. Dressing it up to look a little P-40ish and I'm thinking flat blacking the cans (and pass pegs) might help with the stealth look. Thoughts? Oh and here's a crappy pic in case you can't visualize the fairing

Good call, just saw this as I have Apex pants myself. They are definitely designed to being zipped into the jacket as the waist isn't really something that adjust to my liking. Without an A* jacket I would say you definitely made the right choice.

I have to admit Benyen I can see what you mean about BMW. When the K1200s came out I thought "that looks like an overweight blackbird." Still, the color scheme and angles just do it for me on that boxer.

That is an interesting theory, I wonder . . .

Honestly didn't read most of the back and forth on here. Someone recommended me this site for suits: www.tiltcustoms.com I have Astars myself but if I wasn't already fully geared I might have gone with that guy. There are some reviews floating around the internet if anyone's interested.

^ I was debating between that and the beemer, good call!

Oh and in response to some of the other posts. It is basically an olive drab. Sanded it down over a weekend and sprayed it with some flat camo from autozone. I argued with everyone for about two weeks that I was going to paint it green. "Nah man, don't do it, just go flat black." Now everyone loves it. Cptn Janks is right, not many engine notes can compare with the sexy uncorked v4. Oh and the moon does rule, unless you're a nerd and have to be spanked with moonrocks.

This one tickles my fancy

AMEN! I pay just over $190 a month for my car and bike together!

I'm feeling really welcome by the way. Thanks!

Oh and about the ZRX my main complaint is also the motor. It really didn't have any character in my opinion. It didn't rumble, bark, or do anything out of the ordinary. It just pulls hard everywhere in a very electric manner. I like bikes that talk back to you a bit. I still want one though. Oh I should also add to this introduction: My name is Joey, I'm 22 and I AIN'T NO SQUID!
-
Honestly the ZRX is the one I wanted to keep. It had exhaust, jet, and sprocket (-1 front maybe but I'm not sure). Not to mention the Kawi green has always been one of my favorite colors on a bike. It's hard to say but it was an excellent all arounder. Good cornering ability, changed direction much like my friend's cb919, almost too easily compared to my VFR's heavy turn in. Very linear and deceptive power, it just pulls hard and is sewing machine smooth. I also liked the standard riding position, even with the flyscreen I think I could go on it all day. I'm going to ride that thing again the first chance I get. I am ashamed to admit it but I also liked the anniversary Vrod. Comfortable and quite the head turner. However, in NC the pegs touched down WAY too early for my taste.

I always said the same thing about SV's! We'll have to swap some time. So far I've only ridden a few bikes in the year I've been riding. Ninja 250 (learned on) CB919 ZX11r ZRX11 Vrod Speed Triple Monster I've only ever owned this bike and riding others keeps me from compulsively selling mine to try something else!

Greetings and Nihao everyone! Found this site on a Clist link as I can never stop compulsively shopping for new bikes. Thought it would be useful to keep tabs on where the bikes might meet up or go on rides. My current ride is a 2003 VFR800 ABS, it's my first bike and I bought it May 08. I don't need anything faster but I catch myself daydreaming from time to time. Also it's comfortable for those long rides as I've done some 8-10hr days on it. Here's the bike, it had to be repainted after I dropped it trying to take a 90 degree turn over a hill and didn't spot the gravel in time. (SE Ohio roads are amazing) Oh and I am a firm believer in ATGATT! Hope to ride with some of you as it warms up. Also will probably try to get into an ERC course this Spring. See ya! <-----Oh and btw . . . AWESOME
