  1. Sorry about that - Porsches = Sports Car = Speed = motorcycle The inevitable comparison. But in response - I'd love to "own" one.
  2. Ha - What idiot in a stock car would even think twice about rollin against a ZX-14?
  3. On average a car has to have ~ 1000 hp to run with a liter bike. I use to frequent a car board. The guys would stage races with liter bikes and always got smoked unless they were running a Supra with a T78 etc. pushing 900-1000 H.P Bikes get smoked on top end by some of the faster sport cars with less than a 1000 horspeower due to drag coefficients.
  4. You should have asked for a 30 day warranty or something.
  5. Yeah - I've been to one strip club over on the Eastside of Cinci. If it is still there. I understand going once or twice - but repeatedly?? Never could understand the mentality. Like waving candy in front of a diabetic. Married now so it's out of the question anyway!
  6. Of course as so many magazines point out. Miatas and Mr2's regardless of the horsepower, handling etc. they can't compete against a Porsche on the "class" factor.
  7. Well we started out talking about the one on April 4th near Columbus and the conversation lead to a possible dyno day here in Cincinnati. However, I plan on going April 4th to the Columbus "dayton" dyno day.
  8. Tombstone claimed a full custom tune as well plus the actuall PCIII installation all for $150. Rick, the owner said the maps from Dynojet are good only for a starting point, if that. I could have heard him wrong I suppose. He says his prices are lower since his dyno is paid off. Could be he needs the money. I haven't had the chance to check the web for his rep yet.
  9. I had a 1991 Mr2 Turbo modded depending on what day we dynoed it had about 325RWHP. I could suck the lights out of boxsters and 911's. On the curves, properly set-up it is hard to beat a miata unless you have a lotus elise/exige.
  10. That seems a little steep - doesn't it? What is included? If you have a pcIII usb you should only have to tweak the map provided for your bike and exhaust unless you have more extensive mods. Tombstone Motors quoted me $150. What dyno are you planning on using?
  11. I plan on going. Buzz me if you want to meet up beforehand.
  12. Just checking ... Does anyone have a cell in case we are running late etc. mine is pm me It will take me ( us) from my part of town about an hour to get to the 35 meeting place Hidy Honda.
  13. If you are referring to the dyno in Amelia- It's Called Tombstone Motors 513-797-1550 Ask for Rick the owner
  14. Sounds Good! Count me in. I may actually have my PCIII by then.
  15. So Far I'm still in... 1 medium Shirt - I'll cover the costs regardless My wife is still trying to argue the logic of going to Columbus for a dyno when we have one within walking distance of our house. I have to pick my gatherings ( battles) wisely LOL ---
  16. I put my name on the list but have been re-thinking it. My primary purpose would be to meet some of the guys. However, I have a dyno within walking distance of my house- Tombstone Motors on Beechmont Ave in Amelia. Not sure what He charges for single pulls. He quoted me a price of $150 to install and map a PCIII.
  17. I should have went. I could have kept you company. Hmmm.. wait was there a slower and easier group?
  18. I wouldn't lie or photoshop the card. Just present the new card. They most likely will not look at the dates that closely and as someone else mentioned I believe you may have a grace period anyway. They are generally more concerned people that habitually drive without insurance. Not people that accidentally allowed it to lapse. I seem to recall a safe auto commercial where they say if you got a ticket with no insurance call them and they will "cover" you implying back dating etc. It may not be as bad as you think.
  19. Looks like those campaign donations paid off!!
  20. Hmmm... I was prepped for the ride when something came up. Sounds like a good time with a few bad roads.
  21. Once in 1987 on my GSXR-750- went down in a turn - leaning too far over - tires came out Had all my gear on so no injuries. I've never been the same since on turns.
  22. Wow. I remember those 750's. That one looks like new.

I just ordered a Black Hawk fanny pack of sorts. I'll try that. It's designed to look more like a camera case. Has room for additional items and not too large.
  24. Welcome!! Fellow Eastsider. By the way are those Aprilia's difficult/expensive to get serviced?

Yea when I ride I usually wear a t-shirt under my jacket, especially in the summer. This wouldn't work for me in those situations.
