  1. This is why we have insurance. His insurance should be able to run with this. They can start the claim under his un-insured motorist coverage to get things fixed and then go after the driver and or DoorDash so that it doesn't have to be a burden for him.

  4. ha...Thanks man. Haven't been to a "big" track all year...but we've raced 10 weekends already this year in these bad boys at the club and regional level and having a blast with it. Posted the car on Facebook this week, if that doesn't work application for BAT goes in next week. Really have no need for it to go away, but I feel like it's time to pass the torch to someone else as she just doesn't get much use these days.

  8. 2004 E55 sedan for sale - $16k 108k miles, Active ventilated seats (active bolsters, massage function, etc), black wood trim, push to go, etc. Renntech Stage I 520hp / 550 tq (168mm crank pulley, tune, filters). Bosch intercooler pump 19" Niche wheels - stock chrome E55 wheels included but pitted and flaking badly. Lowered on links 2 owner car, we bought it from the original owner out of ATL in 2008 with 30k on it at the time. It's had Mercedes all weather floor mats in it since day 1 and a weathertech trunk liner as well. Motul 8100 every ~5k or annually most recent change was at 107k Motul gear oil in the rear diff Transmission fluid "freshen" with the - few quarts every time method regularly at around 80k I pulled the supercharger to service it and freshen gaskets and belts. oil was drained and refilled with Mobil Jet oil II Also got fresh plugs at the same time. Brakes were done around 70k miles with new rotors, pads etc. Calipers refinished in red at the same time (DIY but looks great) New Battery battery 3/21 Car has 2 incidents: 1 - My wife rear ended a Prius at a stop light resulting in the hood / bumper / passenger headlight being replaced. 2 - Car was lightly side swiped in a parking lot beyond being buffed out, both drivers side doors were painted. Current condition: **edit - valve cover gaskets being replaced 7/31** **edit - push button start fixed and fully functioning** Rear suspension leaks down if the car sits. It's in the hit or miss stage currently, some times it can go a week before it settles down, other times it will settle down over a day or two of sitting. Since replacing the passenger side headlamp there is an active headlight error message, dealer would not diagnose or fix because the car is lowered. Car currently has snow tires on it. We mounted them on the car a couple of winters ago thinking we needed some sort of winter transportation and have not used it enough to put summers back on it yet. I'm not afraid to drive this car in bad weather but I'm particular about how it's ketp. we do not have children, the car is not a daily driver anymore. It's kept indoors when not in use. The car is ceramic coated with CarPro products and is regularly kept in as good of condition as possible. Thanks, Andy
  9. Yes, it's a long term health plan for me. I encourage anyone thinking of taking it to do you own research and form your own opinions...there's tons of data out there you have to sift through and make your own decision. My opinion was formed as it relates to heart disease and test is a double edged sward there because too much test and people who abuse it can lead to heart disease, but too low also leads to heart disease. Several generations of males on my father's side of the family died young due to heart disease, a couple of them completely healthy, a couple of them obviously not healthy. I chose to regulate levels in myself as a preventative measure in conjunction with a healthier lifestyle at the same time in hopes of a longer life. Don't confuse cypionate with some of the anabolic compounds that body builders are using. Yes you may get a little stronger from it and or change in body a touch, but the promisses of fat melting off and muscle mass gains and feeling like you're 18 again and blah blah blah, it's all really just marketing hype from the test specific clinics that want to sell you on it. What I can tell you is if you're feeling tired or lacking energy overall, your scores are low and you're late 30's or older you'll probably just feel more aware and "normal" is all.
  10. Can give it to yourself in the thigh or wife gives it to me in the butt (not like it sounds).
  11. What was your test score on the blood work? I've been on weekly test shots since my late 30's and It's not like you feel night and day better, you just feel normal again all the time. I was having energy issues, mood swings, and I had gained weight. Part of it was me being lazy in my late 30's, part of it was I had test scores in the low 200's. Nugenix doesn't fix this stuff, Those specialized test only clinics are out to sell you stuff not properly treat you and that said Test alone doesn't fix it either if you've developed bad habits. My Dr. is a urologist that specializes in hormones, I can provide you his info if interested.
  12. Ever since buying a diesel truck I’m completely entertained by everyone’s towing claims. “I got 30 mpg towing the other day...don’t mind the fact I was locked in top gear and going 37mph on the freeway.” My 3.0 duramax gets 13-14 max in real world conditions..that means going 80-82mph and not trying to draft semi’s and shit. Best my old 6.0l LS truck did was maybe 8 so this is a great improvement but it’s not the 17-20 that everyone claims they get. Life’s too short to tow at 70mph.
  13. Assuming this is open trailer not enclosed...a singe bike on an open trailer isn't going to cause much wind drag behind a full size truck which is the bigger effect to consider than the extra weight. As others have stated I'd guess the drop in MPG is pretty minimal there maybe 3-4 mpg....5 at the worst. Put that same weight in an enclosed trailer and it's a whole other ballgame. Also no way it's getting 28 to begin with but different discussion for a different day.
  14. Looking good. I can never make up my mind if I love or hate that color but the work looks stunning.
  15. yes, clear bar is what you want. It's pretty rare they leave a line on the hood these days unless you select the minimal amount of coverage. Most common application is likely full front wrap where they will do the full bumper / hood / fenders and wrap around the edges so you don't see any lines. You can have anything up to the whole whole thing wrapped if you want. I'd expect to start around $2k entry point and go from there. The only thing to consider on something that's not brand new is if and how much paint prep needs to happen before the clear bra install. Does it need detailed to remove any swirls / scratches and or does it have like 19 layers of wax on there that need to be removed for the clear bra to stick? Those could add cost to the process over taking something factory new and fresh in for the service. I used a guy named Mike Sasala for my M2 and he did a great job. I took it to him with grill's , badges, etc removed so that there weren't any lines around those items either. I'm happy with the results and the price was competitive. 614-517-6387 He did the tint on the M2 and my new truck and both turned out very well too.
  16. We're just renting a house through airbnb. Not down here all winter, sorry if I gave that vibe incorrectly. But in spending some time down here I've put some real effort into what it takes to break even on an investment opportunity that we could also spend some time at whenever necessary. I'm in a position in life where we could continue to work and spend all winter down here if we wanted but those are also prime revenue months for investment properties too. Been an interesting time suck while we're down here looking at properties and how this all works.
  17. Down in Florida (Ft Lauderdale) ourselves working but enjoying the benefits of weather. Dogs are much more calm because they aren't cooped up 24/7 like they would be at home....the little one runs and jumps in the pool as soon as you let her out of the house though which is getting old. Can't help but shop for properties while we're here even if Florida isn't my favorite place in the world. As I age I totally get the snow bird thing. I'd take FL over PHX though...I spent every other week in Phoenix from March 2019 to March 2020 for work and I enjoyed the time there but I'm allergic to the world and there was a different set of allergens that drove me crazy out there. I found everything being brown also wore on me after awhile. Small complaints I know but adaptions none the less. Ultimately if we were to really be serious about relocation it'd probably be Charlotte.
  18. 2021 Sierra elevation crew cab 4x4 X31 off-road package (2- speed transfer case) preferred package and ProGrade trailer system GVWR : 7200 GCWR : 15000 RGAWR : 3800 Curb weight : 5569 Max Payload : 1631 I’d be lying if I said long term repair costs don’t scare me. That said, both dealers I shopped offered lifetime powertain warranty to the original owner. Requires careful record keeping but they both said it did NOT require maintenance to be done at the dealer to still comply. Not sure I want to test this but it at least made me feel a little better about the purchase. Standard GM warranty on the 3.0 is 5yrs / 60,000 miles vs 3/36 for the gas trucks. These diesels do have a belt driven oil pump with belt required at 150k miles. Belt is crank driven off the rear of the engine and requires transmission removal to do the belt. Also something crazy like 36,000 psi of rail pressure makes me wonder what will go wrong on the fuel system first. For now I’m going to enjoy the benefits and see how these engines age and how well that warranty holds up.
  19. I do plan on getting the car back out this year, year will still be heavily balanced towards the karting but we're planning on racing around all over the place instead of a dedicated points championship this year which opens up dates for the car that don't conflict with chasing points.
  20. As much as I hated to spend money on a new truck here she is, my 07 Sierra was mechanically sound but rusting to pieces around the driveline. The old truck had a swapped 6.0L that did a pretty good job of towing but with the addition of a brick of a trailer last year the 4 speed was becoming a weakness as it was running in 3rd gear ALOT to be able to maintain the pace I wanted on the freeway. Nothing we tow is that heavy the kart trailer is < 2500 fully loaded up but it's 6.6" interior height with an A/C unit on top so it is a massive wind break. Even with the other car on an open trailer that combo is maybe 5k lbs. So I never pull anything heavy but we towed 20 weekends last year so we put down alot of miles of towing. Due to criteria above the new 3.0L duramax diesel from GM made a ton of sense. Backed by one of those fancy mustang 10 speeds :-) it makes for a great combo. Only have about 500 miles on it so far but we've hooked up the trailer and dragged it up and down 161 at > 80mph with ease. Little worried about some of the teething issues with the "baby" duramax but it seems as though most of them are sorted at this time. Spent last weekend polishing and ceramic coating it and now she's ready to pound out miles.
