  1. When we were looking to do the same we were fairly zoned in on Coppertree. One of my friends is an architect who does home design for several builders in town and he took the blueprints he drew up for his own home and presented them to many of the builders he works with on a regular basis and ended up with Coppertree and was very happy with the results.
  2. lowered the M2 comp. Dicked with the ride height for a few days last week and finally settled on this as it's final height. Wanted it a little lower but decided to error on the side of caution.
  3. The problem I have with the plastic tiles is the inability to take load. Want to change tires on your car or put it on jack stands...you have to get wood or metal to put down on top of your tile to do it...so now you need a floor for your floor. That turned me off pretty quick to them and was why I was actually looking at porcelain when we still had a house. I did the epoxy thing and it sucked and the stuff I had was stupid slippery when it was wet even with the flecks in it to add traction.
  4. Have you thought about porcelain tile? http://cleardesign.me/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/tile-on-garage-floor-porcelain-tile-the-ideal-surface-for-garage-flooring-porcelain-tile-garage-floor-installation.jpg If I'm ever in a position to do a garage again that's the route I'd go.
  5. The 4L60 in my truck has increased line pressure / quicker shifts via tuning not physical parts. I'm sure it's helped it last while doing towing duty, but in regular driving what it's done is shift hard enough to first brake the flex plate and then break the front transfer case. Tranny is still hanging in there though at 230k miles
  6. full front wrap and tint complete, now we can actually put some miles on her. Hope to find time one nigh this week to get the suspension on there.
  7. I get back into town tomorrow, it gets full front wrap and Tint Thursday / Friday. Sunday planning to install these:
  8. IDK why I can't get that post from my phone to work...but here are the new car prep shots from the M2 comp, initial detail,
  9. M2 Competition showed up finally and I’ve started its protection program. Didn’t take as many pictures as I should have...was more focused on getting shit done. Still at least two days to go.
  10. I think the car is cool and the concept is fun. But I can't stand trying to watch this guy's channel. He buys really nice parts that should make really great projects and then seems to take pride in doing everything as half assed as possible and then wonders why none of his projects are ever successful.
  11. in regards to working in an office. I work in an office and sit on my ass all day but I have a flexible enough schedule that I can get in early, work late and take a long lunch to go to the gym, not be rushed and get in everything that I need to get in. Going mid day avoids crowds and gets me a great stress reliever in the middle of my work day.
  12. Fair analysis. I can't stand convertible cars so when i looked for small, 2 door sports coupes the M2 was the only consideration for us in the BMW range. We did cross shop Caymans and i would have much preferred a Cayman GTS or GT4 but she really liked the BMW and I really liked the tuning potential of them putting the S55 engine into the M2 now so that solidified the choice. Real world M2 competitions are coming in closer to 3500lbs but it's still pretty portly compared to what it should be in my mind.
  13. M2 / M2 competition didn't already fill that void?
  14. +1. Phones can’t do image stabilization needed for track videos
  15. Congrats on the results! The older I get, the more I have to be aware of impact on my knees and the pain it generates in my lower back as well. I generally stick to step mills, bikes, elliptical, rowing machine and long walks with the dogs. If I run, it's for no more than 1 mile as a warm-up for something else. I hate cardio in general, it's a necessary evil but I can't go to get a workout in and just do cardio. Over the last 6 months, to aid in my weight loss, I've changed the way I lift. I still lift 5 days a week but instead of max effort I'm now doing super sets of almost everything and doing about 50% of the weight for a rep range of 15-ish. This allows me to keep heart rate up during lifting and leading into my cardio sessions.
  16. Pretty sure my brother (Smokey) knows him. Send him a PM
  17. Historically Porsche's Tan interiors haven't aged well but that one looks really nice for the mileage. Since you can wrench it's not going to be that bad of a car to maintain. A good friend of mine is sales manager for a Porsche dealer and he chooses to drive a base Cayman which should tell you something about how good they really are.
  18. GT3 has been sitting polished and not finished for over 3 months, drove it Saturday and got it dirty then decided I should actually finish the detail on Sunday.
  19. pretty sure I know what those came off of...cause I have the fronts :-)
  20. ...but I like cars and Puerto Rican’s so that’s kinda normal right?
  21. I used to say that...and then I realized that I hated everything that came along with home / property ownership.
  22. $120k for phase 1 condo. This is a venture for Chip from Auto Assets. Great spin on something that’s already proven to work in this town.
