Couldn't agree with you more. Qualifying has to be part of the experience. However last year qualifying was almost more enjoyable than the race as about the only passing done was in the pits through strategy. It's going to be a great season to enjoy under the new rules.
I thought it was one of the more entertaining F1 races I've seen in some time. Some of the new stuff I thought was a little dumb, but it made for great racing, passing, and a race that I watched without loosing interest.
Can't wait for more!

FWIW: I can think of at least one other white '08 Sti on the board....and what happens when you walk away from your car?
However I agree with Doc, just speak up and introduce yourselves.
I'm going to try to make it up at least for a short time. I have an injured wife at home though so no guarantees.
I posted this info on Ohiobimmers.com. Looks like a few guys from over there are interrested in attending.
Since I"m not as big into the VW community anymore I'll let one of you other guys spread the word there. They're always down for meets.

Lets face it, all the "good" clubs in Columbus are long gone. I used to really enjoy going out for the music, atmosphere and then the crowd 3rd.
Bring back Glow in the buggyworks building and I'll go out again. Nothing else has stacked up since they closed.
#2 just because I love the exhaust note.
But, where's the "project" in a car that's effectively mechanically sound and physically in good condition as well?
Great pictures as always Scott. Your threads are always worth a peek for the outstanding photography.
However, Clean your front wheels...they're always dirty in your pictures

I think we're all on the same page here. Personally, I can appreiciate the value that the G8 GXP represents even when priced as new and like I said earlier when we get a few in the used market 12 months or so from now the value will be that much more in the G8's favor. They'll be hard to overlook at that point.
I think in this situation you can as there's no G8 GXP's in the used market yet. So if you're looking at one, then new is your only option and the price point of $40ish has already been established.
12 months down the road when you can snag a G8 GXP for $25-30k in the used market there's a much stronger argument for the car as the price point will be drastically different.

Yes.
Not only have I gained true friendship from several here, BUT the networking power of this board is priceless. Help is never further away than a phone call even with people you only "know through the board".
