  1. I saw my shots - some look kinda cool. I too thought I was way further off than I was. Here is a decent shot.......I may buy the download for $7.

Not to start a firestorm or anything, but I also heard that I was a little slower in the corners but the Bandit was real strong in the straights so some couldnt pass me.........sorry. First track day. Sucks not having mirrors!!!!

  2. Straight from the website: http://www.shawneeumc.com/cmsms/

    Sunday May 1st

    Biker Registration begins at 9:45

    Worship Service at 11:00

    Blessing begins at 12:15

If you’ve never been to the Blessing of the Bikes at Shawnee CommUMC, then you need to check it out this year. It’s a great time of celebrating all the ways the Lord has blessed us.

Leave A Mark Church in South Columbus Ohio has a huge event like this as well usually in the beginning of July. http://www.leaveamark.org/

"Generally" speaking, you'll see a ton of Harley's and Metric Cruisers and a sport-bike or two, but usually a great bunch of people who share the same passions for life and riding.

  3. Phil, you need to give me a call soon so we can ride!! I've moved on from parking lots since the last time you saw me...but I doubt I will do a route this long anytime soon. I built a house in Galloway Ridge so I am your neighbor again.

WooHoo!!! Whenever I see Karen, we always talk about you - our mutual friend. Good to hear from you. I will ride with you - that'd be fun. Glad to hear you've moved on and charging forward.

  5. would jesus charge to use the bathroom?

Why of course not! But, we're just using the lot....and I was there today. It's huge! Like 1000RRRIDER said, the building is usually open, so.........

    "Any Whay"...........more details to come.

  6. Maybe you can talk them into providing access to the bathrooms?

They said if we did that then there would be a building rental charge. We are opting to not rent a building since facilities are close at hand with McDonalds across the street.

  7. Congrats ! The instrument rating you just got is the fifth hardest rating to get. Some high end jet type ratings followed by ATP, CFII, CFI, Commercial instrument, private instrument, private pilot.

You should be very proud, but a word of caution, take it slow & easy in your IMC flying. There is still much to learn ahead of you. Enjoy your up time.

Couldn't agree more. The instrument ticket is difficult to get and even more difficult to keep "competent" - not just current. Summer is difficult to keep it current around here, but winter offers a lot of 1000 foot ceilings to go play in!!!

One thought I had right after getting mine was, I can't believe people with only a PPL are allowed to fly up here. The instrument rating teaches you so much about you, the plane, the system, and really knowing your surroundings and future situation. The first time you shoot an approach alone down to minimums is awesome.

    Nice job. Well done.

  8. AMA museum parking lot?

Spoke to AMA - but lot is not big enough. RG Barry next door would have been nice, but they did not seem to return calls!! Ha!!!

But - We found a lot and it's HUGE!!!

Xenos Christian Fellowship Front Lot 270 and Cleveland Avenue. Really nice people there - we're very lucky. Details on the event at a later date.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

  9. Ahhhh.....let's not sell the H-D short just yet. They were all over this, but already had both parking lots and range areas booked that day. We will host an event there next year as long as we get it scheduled in January. The Sunbury lots look nice and clean.

Thanks for the suggestions. We will call McDorman Chevy.

  10. All going well, later this year a few of us will be trying to host a sport-riding clinic here in central Ohio - not taught by me (thank God) but by some professionals. Problem is, we need a sizable parking lot without too many obstructions or curbs to inflict a lot of pain.

Meaning, we need some suggestions for a parking lot available from about 8AM to 6PM in late June on a Saturday. If anyone has any suggestions, whether specific or in general, let 'em rip!!

And if anyone has any suggestions for my need of "said course", well, keep them to yourself..........Todd!!! :nono:

    Thanks in advance..........

    Phil
