  1. Well this was a fun day. Thanks to John and his wife for opening their beautiful home, garage, and grille to the gang of us to hang out and make noise. There were about 10 people in all showing from the CSBA group and from Ohio Riders and such. We had a great time in the garage and out of the rain which really didn't hit until later and it was very slight.

    We did get to find a problem on Night Rider's Yamaha 600 - he had a bad transfer gear on the back of the speedometer. Yamaha Japan must be very proud of this part. It is as small as a lighter and costs $123!! Ouch! We also spent some time on Ebon's Kaw. It needed the GPS hard-wired to a keyed hot wire. All is well and his battery will never drain again - at least from that issue.

    Also, a few of us are now proud owners of Ohio Riders stickers for the bikes!

    Here's a few shots - great seeing you all.

    PS - Bike stayed dry and clean on the trip home. WooHoo!!!!!

    PSS - CBRGirl's Factory Matte Gray Paint Scheme is WAY COOL!

    Copied over from the CSBA Ride #2 Thread...........

    This is the route John Mathis has put together. It should work for everyone. The first third of it will be fairly straight, second third will be sweet and the last will be a relaxing cool down.

    Brian is going to be putting some advertising together. It would be great if we could have a huge group of riders. If you all could tell everyone you know about the ride so we raise some funds for the cause.

    All types of bikes are welcome, none will be left behind. We will probably split into multiple groups but just to keep the numbers down, not because fast or slow.

    Come ride with us............and let's get Brian riding again soon.

  3. I might be there as well if my camping trip doesn't happen. Need to do an oil job and tighten my chain. Never worked on my bike before and would like help the first time around.

    One of the guys there is a Triumph nut and has a really cool Sprint ST - he'll be lots of help to you on your new Triumph. Although, secretly, I'm sure he wishes he had a new Bandit. :D

  4. Hey everyone:

    The CSBA group is having an "all-invited Tech/Wrench Day" on Saturday June 12, 2010 at the home of John Wagner from 10AM to 2PM. As a start, we will be doing things like:

    * Tech Talk and Knowledge Exchange - swapping ideas, looking at mods, etc.

    * Adjust and align chains

    * Suspension set up

    * Brake bleeding

    * Brake pad changing (bring your parts)

    * Fixing broken stuff as we can together

    * Lubing cables and controls

    * Assisting with Oil Changes (bring your own parts of course)

    * Getting to know each other better

    * Along with all that, we will be cooking and burning hot dogs and such.

    Bring yourself, your bike, some parts, some lubes, and be ready to give some help, get some help, eat some dogs, and meet some new people while we all skin our knuckles on each others bikes!!!

    John's address is:

    8915 Winding Creek Way

    Pickerington, Ohio 43147

    Respond back so we know about how many are showing up!!!!

    See ya then.

    Phil

  5. I think Tbone will throw another hissy fit if we don't go to city BBQ. So if people are up to going there 7:30 seemed to be a good meeting time last week.

    How can anyone on earth throw a hissy fit about going to City BBQ? Mmmmmmmmm......pork!
