  1. Guys. He said "lots-o-torque". Ninja 1000? Really?

OP, you definitely just described a Tuono. If you didn't mention the luggage part and long distance comfort I'd have said RSVR1000.

    - lots-o-torque (i.e. I've all but written-off anything but a twin)

Check. Not just numbers, proper low-end delivery.

    - cheap(ish). older is okay as long as i can find parts.

$4500-7000. Parts are abundant through online sources

    - easy to work on/low maintenance (possibly meaning air-cooled and/or belt drive, which is the only reason I remotely question the SV650)

Typical maintenance schedule, motors have been known to last 70,000+ miles with generic schedules.

    - decently comfortable if I wanted to throw on luggage for a longer trip.

Toss the bags on and ride upright wherever you want comfortably.

    - handles well enough to have FUN at a trackday, but no misapprehensions about setting lap records. (i.e. XR1200 or other cruiser-biased bikes aren't off the table)

    Oh, it handles well. :)

  2. I'm no longer in the military and I have nothing against gays but I do have a problem with gays in the military based on what would be the current rules and regulations. What I mean by that is, that male and females are segregated in separate living conditions for obvious reasons. For those who have never been in the military may not know that a lot of living quarters consist of community latrines and showers. If I am not allowed to shower with the opposite sex that I am attracted to, then why should a gay man who is attracted to the same sex be allowed to shower with men. If someone is gay and wants to be in the military, fine, but they should be segregated just as men and women are.

    Dumbest shit I've ever heard.

  3. gtos where never really an "original" idea. wether theyre stealing the corvette motor or holden monaro design.

    That makes me lol.

The LSx motor is the most whored' out motor on the planet...

The Aussies were also using it way back when only the Corvette and F-bodies were privileged to have it.

  4. First' date=' it was a joke that hinted at the thought that nobody cares about Aprilia.

Second, if I were referring to Ducati, I'd be referring to their V4, which has an MSRP of $72,500.

Third, is your Ape still in Georgia?[/quote']

    1. Ah, I see. O.o

    2. They don't even make it anymore. At least compare it to the 1198R.

    3. Yes. :(

Not like it's been above 50* in Michigan yet anyways...

  5. True' date=' but hopefully the Honda will be cheaper than the Ducati. :D[/quote']
Just as the RVF750R was sold alongside the CBR—at nearly twice the price—the new RVF will be a high-end product aimed at delivering racing success.
    Unlikely. 1198's are what, $16k?
  6. Guess Honda finally realized it was schooled in Superbike building by a small Italian firm...:p

I would sell my soul for one of these though. V-2 and V-4 Hondas are amazing. True story.
