Oh the ironing! I've had countless people tell me my Dunlop Q2's suck. Even the guy at the tire shop mounting it. Goes, "Oh, you have a Dunlop..." WTF?

The ONLY reason I bought it was to use as a front stand to remove my wheel (because nobody in the Miami Valley would do it) and when holding the front up it felt flimsy. Also it took two people to get it on the stand. One to pull up on the bars while the other does the stand because whoever designed it didn't take into account the proper angle to lift and lower. You can't get enough leverage to lift just by the stand. Avoid. Buy something else for $50 and be happy when it doesn't break and your expensive bike falls over.

I have it. Its so wide, and when you put the cradles on, they bend in at an angle. Feels like a very unsafe stand. Doesn't work for shit as a front stand either. I'd spend my money elsewhere.

Hate the exhaust. Other than that gorgeous.

If you want the RC for it's V-twin, sexy, looks, and sportbike nature I say go for it! Just don't come to us crying about how uncomfortable it is. Riding one was an awesome experience, it's quite a raw bike. Like RVTPilot said, it'll give you a good workout throwing it from side to side, it makes ridiculous torque, it's hot, it's uncomfortable, but if you put it in the right setting it'll give you the biggest shit-eating-grin you can get. I kind of equate it to a Dodge Viper, rough around the edges but never ceases to amaze.

The Ape is actually much roomier and more comfy than the RC. After swapping and putting more than a couple miles on each other's bikes, Aaron and I agree. The Ape is a great all around'er that can flex muscle when needed, and the RC is the hardcore track knife.

I believe the upper cage gets in the way. And even if you sort out the bars, the pegs are still high, the seat is still a plank to sit on, and the heat coming off the radiators in traffic will give you 1st degree burns. God how I love that bike. lol

NO. Not at all. The RC is a purpose built track bike that makes just enough compromises to be a friendly sportbike on the road. It's hot, uncomfortable, and only happy on backroads. But, if your idea it to take it out of the garage on a weekend, head straight to the nearest country roads, and thrash the hell out of it then it's a very rewarding bike. I still want an SP2 after riding my roommate's.

Your GF's Nighthawk makes 19.3 HP/14.4 TQ. A Ninja 250R makes 30 HP/ 14 TQ. Considering the Ninja is the CBR's prime competition, I'd expect somewhere just above that. Maybe 35/16. It's also rated 20 lbs lighter than the Ninja. Should be good for ~110 mph if you really really wring it out. While searching for the Duke 690R price, I found this. lol pwnt. It's ~$4500 new for a Ninja 250R. I could see the upscale Honda and KTM asking $5-6k and still be competitive in the market.

If you're a decent driver, the Z will be walking circles around a GTO. Backroads running in a car is more about corner speed and agility than horsepower. So far though, no one has offered a tour. This may not happen?
