  1. I would so be in for this because the bike is down for the winter, all packed up with no insurance. One last backroads hurrah before putting the Goat away for winter would be nice.
  2. No. Radar jamming is. Federally actually.
  3. I'm well aware of what 03/04 Cobras can do. I love those cars. I'm also aware that if I had the coin to drop on an Eaton TVS 2300, with those mods on my LS1, I would hit 550-600+ wheel easily. Still an IRS car, and not too much heavier than a Cobra. (Curb weight 3855) But, I'm a broke college student playing the cards given to me. I have a basically free Eaton 112, and a free set of SLP long tube headers. Annnnnd I like my interior better.
  4. I said that too. Now I'm considering selling off the Aprilia to fund a low-compression heads/cam package and then up the boost in search of 500+ whp on just a 1.8L blower. lol
  5. Mah GTO is teh slows. First 8 second IRS GTO
  6. I just ripped some shit off the t00bs real quick to continue with the bench racing. lol I don't know about the validity of any of that. And you said it was a 3rd gen, 92 is good enough.
  7. Bench Racing: Initiate. 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 0-60 mph : 6.7 sec. 0-¼ mile : 15.2 sec @ xx.xx mph Curb Weight : 3273 lbs 1997 Acura Integra Type-R 0-60 mph : 6.1 sec. 0-¼ mile : 14.5 sec @ 96.0 mph Curb Weight : 2639 lbs
  8. 3rd Gen Camaro You are not allowed to have these two bolded items related in the same sentence. Sorry, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
  9. Yah, laser is a bitch. It can be jammed. It takes $$$.
  10. Awesome to know Dustin. I'm seriously considering the V1 with a concealed display right now.
  11. I've disassembled and reassemble almost every part on my car. I break shit...a lot. I like that system you posted, but it brings me back to the same issue. There's no rear mount radar. I know it sounds stupid because if it's from the rear, by the time you detect it your toast anyways. But at least with the windshield mounted units they have that ability. I'm still contemplating whether rear functionality is even worth having. That is a damn good price for that kit.
  12. Lol, no doubt. Sneaky bastards
  13. Sigh. Could you maybe elaborate on why said radar detector was a pile of shut instead of just wasting thread space? I don't care if you bash it, but at least give some reasons.
  14. That game only works so long. I'll give you an example. Last Sunday. I'm 45 miles from home, it's 2 am, speed is ~85-90, not a soul on the highway so I've justified that speed. Coming around a blind corner in the highway and I hear a faint Ka blip from my old detector. Brake hard and set cruise at 73 mph (in a 70). Detector starts going wild as I drop onto the downhill straight. Sitting there in the pitch black at the bottom of the hill with no lights (don't use them in MI) is a Sheriff. Had I come blasting around that corner at 90 mph in the dark, regardless of situational awareness, I would've been toast.
  15. I've driven C3s before. While they are wonderful cars. Have fun keeping up with a TBSS, GTO, and Acura Type-R on the curvy roads...you know, those things at the end of the straights.
  16. I've got a budget capped at $500.
  17. From everything I've read any upgraded Valentine One with 1.8 or higher has POP protection including the Bee III gun's POP operation.
  18. I put 25k a year on the GTO. Mostly highway.
  19. Quit being a fucking Debbie Downer to our shit talking. This is fun. Now put up or shut up with the 4 wheeled vehicles.
  20. IRS, staggered wheels, 275 rears, a strong LSD, and a lil' driver skillz says different.
  21. My second thought was. Shit, this is going to be harder to see OSP sitting in the median. After a few days and a few cops...it is. I wonder how it will mess with radar guns?
