  1. AAA will offer a free 10-mile tow home for non-teetotalers and their vehicles through the Tipsy Tow program, which is open to AAA members and non-members alike.

Passengers will be offered a ride home if there is room in the tow truck to safely transport them, according to AAA.

The service will be available between 6 p.m. New Year's Eve and 6 a.m. New Year's Day.

During that time, drivers, potential passengers, party hosts, bartenders and restaurant managers can call 1-800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) for a free tow home up to 10 miles.

  2. I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year's Eve tonight. Don't do anything stupid like drink and drive. Don't be an idiot and say "I'm not that drunk" or "It's not that far". Be an adult and get a designated driver, a cab or sleep it off. It's not worth the risk of getting fined, jailed or killing yourself or someone else.

  3. Really? You don't think you are over paying for guns already? What until the next assault rifle ban comes along and that DPMS AR that used to cost $900 all of the sudden costs $2000. Gun and ammo manufacturers/distributors have been manipulating prices since the beginning of time, and the NRA helps them do it. It's called reality when dealing with firearms. It's all about supply and demand.

If I told you that when I got a gun in and I was going to charge you $xxx, and then when said I would now sell it to you for $1300 more, you wouldn't take offense to that? That's bull shit practice. There is no ban and no reason to no stand by your word. 1000rrrider even tried to prepay for it.

  4. Sandblasting can be tedious depending on the size, amount of rust/paint and the intricacy of the piece. I don't think there is a huge market for it but I'd think you'd probably stand to make a little bit of money of this will be a part time or side job for you.

  5. 2008 Scion XB.

Fit right in, I was born and raised there.

As I recall, about 3 months.

    Night.

    Yep.

If they were looking for something matching my description, the kid didn't bring it up.

The kid said he had me doing 51 in a 45, but he'd "do me a favor" and write me for the expired tags. No warning whatsoever. This from someone who literally peeled out and did a U-turn right behind me to pick me up. Cop was no older than 22, and I could tell he was still a little high from pulling off the U-ey from Center Ridge Rd.

You wanted an example of bored small-town cops, North Ridgeville is it. Feel free to ask any of the NEO OR peeps.

So you were over the posted speed limit by 6mph, even over the normal "buffer of 5mph". Your registration was 3 months expired, not just by a couple days. He "did you a favor" and didn't cite you for speed.

Maybe he was bored that night. I don't know what traffic or road conditions were, what else had been going on that night, what he saw about your car, etc. Later at night the chances of drugs, OVI, etc go up so for him to pop a u-ey in the road for a registration out by a whole 3 months isn't that bad. I don't know all the details but with the information you gave me I can't find fault in the officer's actions. Next time renew your registration on time because I doubt he would have pulled you over for speed alone, although he may have.
