  1. OMG. Really? It's a public place.

"We have a 'no photography' policy in the centre to protect the privacy of staff and shoppers and to have a legitimate opportunity to challenge suspicious behaviour if required.

Then don't go out into public. I don't know the circumstances, maybe he did look suspiciously like a pedophile and should have been questioned (although after a couple of minutes of watching them should show he was the father) but to have a law against photography in public is ridiculous. Does the government have cameras set up over there? Hypocrisy?

Those that give up liberty for temporary safety are idiots.

And on a side note, it was a cute picture.

  2. Wouldn't donate to goodwill anyway. It was just for example sake. I see then as nothing more than a garage sale w things that people just gave then to sell for free. I'd much rather donate to salvation army, St Vincent, etc where the needy actually benefit from it

I actually had some clothing I was going to donate to them. I was going to ask them where to take the stuff but when I got to the front door, I saw their sign that said they didn't want my donation. After emailing the store I was referred to their corporate email. I never got a reply back from them. Oh well.

  3. ...And if you're upset at Chevy for not answering your question, you can always donate your guns to Goodwill... that'd be a REALLY good way to stick it in Chevy's craw.

You writeoff the fair market value of the goods you donate. Get a receipt from wherever you donate from, or just claim it on your taxes and hope you don't get audited. $15,000 worth of "crap" would probably get the IRS's attention. $300 for a TON of stuff, not so much.

I see how it is.

  4. Just use Paypal to accept credit card payments.

Pretty sure you can even accept payments from people that are not paypal users' date='

accept you can't accept any from me, my money is not good enough for paypal any more :nono:[/quote']

 Yeah, no lotto stuff for me. ;)

You can do that on the phone? Through their app or the website?

  5. Just take my advice and stay away from it, we are all too accessible as it is and there is nothing safer than cash transactions.;)

True, cash can be safer. But being able to still get paid from someone who might not have enough cash is good too. It also allows you to track your sales for legal reasons, if needed. I'm not by any means sold on it, just curious about the technology.

I use square and it's great, money goes right to your bank account. The only problem is it cost like 2% or something for each transaction

    2.75%, but no other fees.

Have you had any issues with it? How often do you use it?
