  1. Add beer to that, and it's one of my favorite past-times. :D

On a side note, I've got my pack down to 24lbs without water, 33lbs with. I don't think I can cut anymore.

What do you carry water in? I'd recommend a camel back and some collapsible 2qt canteens.

Make sure you use things that can serve dual purposes instead of two separate items, if you haven't already done so.

  2. worse than you can imagine.... My hair was so nappy, it actually looked 5 inches shorter than it is. I did have a chance to rinse off in a stream at the bottom of the Canyon, so I guess it could have been worse! .... although, check out the temperature in the sun :

It starts getting real nasty at 160 degrees in full combat gear. Nothing like smelling your own stench coming up from your flak vest right into your face.

Glad you had fun. I've been to the canyon but never hiked it. Sounds like it would have been a blast.

  3. I have a CRKT M16. Bought it in Iraq in 2005. I had a buddy sharpen it about a year and a half ago. I didn't realize he got it razor sharp and since I use my knives hard it chipped the blade up. I actually just ground it down and resharpened it last night. It's heavy, well made and takes the abuse I dish out. Not an auto but I keep it lubricated with graphite and it will flick open very smoothly every time. I love it.

That being said, I want this Benchmade auto:

  4. Bexley is about to give a test for Police as is Otterbien College.

    Nationwide Security has an opening.

Oh, and Grandview Hts. may be giving a test in the near future.

Knew about Bexley and Otterbein, they are on my list. Have to check out Nationwide and Grandview.

Dunkin, Jolly Pirate, Krispy Kreme?

CPD would be a good place to get your feet wet, and I think I heard that they are hiring. The bad thing there is, I think you have to go through the OSP academy.

I sort of know someone that's working private security, supposed to be starting for a high profile company, I'll see if I can find out anything.

    Jolly Pirate FTW.

    Paul Blart :dunno:

    :nono:

You can guard my benz when I park so I don't get door dings

This would be an armed position correct? What kind of salary? :)

  5. OhioHealth seems to always have slots for protective services. Especially veterans.
Ok, I don't have any contacts in that area. Trying looking on some of these websites. Apply everyware in your county, and don't give up. Ohio is one of the hardest states, to land a cop job.

If you need my help, just let me know.

    Thanks guys.

  6. Check Columbus State? They almost always have positions open.

    Good looking out. Thanks.

Guy I work with just got a call to go test for OSHP academy

Nah, I want to do more than just traffic stuff.

Try CPD. They always seem to be hiring.

    And Congrats BTW.

Thanks. but Gotta go through their academy and I have a specific department I want to eventually get to.

  7. zzooommmmmfffggggg! There will be shootouts in the bars and restaurants. It's gonna be effin crazy! Bloodshed everywhere I tell ya!!!1!11!!!! I mean that's what happened when Ohio first adopted concealed carry!!! Every other state that now allows carry in alcohol establishments, it's like walking into the wild, wild west!! I'm gonna move to a city that doesn't allow guns. I'll be so much safer. :fetalposition:
