    Some departments don't even ask you to sign it, they just hand it over to the violator. Some of them just write "served" on the signature line.

    Sometimes marksmanship or luck is better than superior firepower though. That being said, I'd rather have a .40 against a .22 than vice versa.... (but I am sure you know that )
