A co-worker friend of mine has his 98 R1 up for sale. Asking $2500. He recently put a new chain, tires, windscreen (red) and brake pads on it. I don't plan on shooting it all that much, just occasional target (clays) and then leaving it "in the corner" for home defense. I've heard too many things about the 870's recent quality issues. Maybe if I get an older one. It's going to be a little while anyway.

I thought you could own one at 18, but CHL after 21? I was just trolling for a response, to see if the thread was serious, and he says he has firearm experience, so I'll leave it alone.

I guess it's just carrying over from your other threads. Sorry, my memory keeps working between threads, I don't shut it off and see people as someone different from thread to thread, same for real life vs. on da innanetz.

Refraining from a personal attack, trying to be mature enough to not stoop to that level... Even if it is da innanetz.

Seriously though, more often than not, I use my brake just enough to turn on the light, to let the rider behind me know that I'm slowing. If you're hammering the brake going into a turn, you're riding too fast in the straights (for a group ride on public roads) and afraid to go into the corners very fast. I'm somewhere in the middle, where I slow down some, but not hammer the brakes for most turns. If that makes any sense...
