  1. He's gotten to the point where he doesn't even respond to that kind of comment anymore.
  2. And I'm still feeling the effects of that one. Totally off topic, but I wonder how many of those vehicles purchased through the cash for clunkers program have been repo'd...
  3. I have 2 sets of EBC FA 252HH brake pads. They fit the front on older R1's, maybe other applications too. They're brand new, still in package with Iron Pony price tag that says $37.00 each. I'll say $50 for both.
  4. You have guns. Never enough, but it's time for a bike again. That is unless you're scared...
  5. Why waste your money on something you don't need?
  6. That's why I like the idea of bolting it down! That would be a good idea for securing a wallet, or other valuables as well. A gap that a pry bar could get into would concern me. The cable being easy to cut, not so much. A thief is more likely to have a pry bar with them than something that would cut that cable! I actually had to reason that one out when I got mine.
  7. Exactly! There's also a difference between someone using it for a CCW and a LEO that's much more likely (statistics? ) to get into a situation where the mag safety would be helpful.
  8. Part of the deterrent is that it's not obvious to the average Joe that there would be a gun in there, and as Chevy says below, to make it more difficult than just picking up the gun. When I bought my Nanovault it had huge a gap. I tightened up the screw that holds the locking lever to the lock and it's pretty solid now. Is the one you have key, or combination?
  9. Bad guy gets the gun away from you, hit the mag release as he takes it. I'd rather have a non-functioning gun if someone was to take it, then be able to grab a backup mag when he drops it after finding out that it won't work. But that would only be as a LEO. As a CCW, I would hope to have the situation over with by the time a BG was to get that close. LEO's would be a bit different.
  10. Thanks, that's what I thought. I've heard it elsewhere, too.
  11. I can see where it could be a good thing for a LEO to have though such as if it becomes necessary to go hand to hand with a bad guy. Mine only has the grip safety, other than drop safety, etc...
  12. Again? I talked to him last night and he was pretty sure he had someone going to buy it, after people lowballing, offering less than half of what he has it listed for, which is less than it's really worth even. Maybe he should bid on one on ebay to inflate the value?
  13. They gotta do something! The mag disconnect safety is one thing that the M&P has as an option that would be nice to have, but for a non-LEO CCW, I would hope to not be in close enough quarters with an attacker to worry about that. Isn't 20 ft. the "minimum distance" (statistic?) from an assailant to be able to draw and fire? P.S. I thought of your FB post right after I typed statistic, Tbut!
  14. What are you talking about? I didn't think there was, but you should know better than me anyway! I know who you're talking about. He's seriously selling that vehicle now. I'm sure he's got another in the vehicle he's driving now, or moving that one. You know how he is! One feature I would like my XD to have that the M&P has as an option.
  15. For the most part, when I go to the gun store, I already know what I need to, because I researched it in advance. Same for the electronics stores. When I was deciding on a pistol to buy, with concealment in mind, I just went to the gun store, already knowing what features I was looking for, and what pistols had those features. The first trip was just to get a feel for them, then the second trip was to pick up the XD SC.
  16. I have the same one as Chevy, except I have the keyed version. Mine is a nanovault. I'm thinking about one of the biometric vaults for at home, since we have kids running around here.
