I'm with ya on the whole "Let's form a club" thing, but damn.... You dudes are pretty harsh on a new guy, considering that 50% of the daily BS that goes on in OR is about guns. Even lowering a sport bike 1-2", she's gonna still have way more clearance for aggressive riding than she's got on the Magna. C'mon guys. She's currently riding a 120 HP old school bike that weighs 520 lbs with a seat height of 30"! I don't think she's gonna be intimidated by a modern sub-450 lb sport bike. Seat height is the issue here, and that's why they sell lowering links.

Coming from a V65, it's obvious she's not intimidated by HP or weight, but simply needs something that isn't too tall in the saddle. I'd say start her off looking at any of the 600s--CBR-RR, R6, Gixxer, new Kaw 636 (Mmmmm!!!)--and see how she fits. If she doesn't have a problem with those and still wants more HP, try the liter options. Worse case, she can always install lowering links; she'll still have way more cornering potential than the Magna she's riding now. FYI--She sounds like a keeper. If ya ever wanna turn her loose....???

I've had my Wee to 100 and the FJR to well over 130, but only alone and on a completely deserted road. Speeds like that don't belong in a group ride.

A buddy and I went down for this and after listening to it pour all night long, we bailed and went over to Red Bird. After watching your vid, boy howdy, am I glad we did.

It's not the absolute speed I was objecting to--I'm no saint and I rail the backroads at 20+ over all the time. It was the obvious cluelessness of both the riders as to where their riding buddies were. And a closing speed differential of 100+ MPH, whether it's to yer buddy or other traffic, is just plain stupid.

That is one fookin' idjit and seriously deranged dumbass. No way I'd ride with him anywhere. Not real smart on either of them, actually. Hope they kill only themselves...and soon, for the good of mankind.

Gotta say that if and when I get so obsessed with "long riding" that I can't take the time to stop and piss, even if it's just behind a bridge abutment along the freeway, and I CHOOSE to wear a condom catheter so I can piss down my leg into my shoe......I want one of you to slap me so fucking hard that my engine misfires for the next 5 miles.
