I've had my Wee to 100 and the FJR to well over 130, but only alone and on a completely deserted road. Speeds like that don't belong in a group ride.

A buddy and I went down for this and after listening to it pour all night long, we bailed and went over to Red Bird. After watching your vid, boy howdy, am I glad we did.

It's not the absolute speed I was objecting to--I'm no saint and I rail the backroads at 20+ over all the time. It was the obvious cluelessness of both the riders as to where their riding buddies were. And a closing speed differential of 100+ MPH, whether it's to yer buddy or other traffic, is just plain stupid.

That is one fookin' idjit and seriously deranged dumbass. No way I'd ride with him anywhere. Not real smart on either of them, actually. Hope they kill only themselves...and soon, for the good of mankind.

Gotta say that if and when I get so obsessed with "long riding" that I can't take the time to stop and piss, even if it's just behind a bridge abutment along the freeway, and I CHOOSE to wear a condom catheter so I can piss down my leg into my shoe......I want one of you to slap me so fucking hard that my engine misfires for the next 5 miles.

Are ya open to an '07 FJR in Black Cherry with factory Yamaha topbox, relatively new Mich PR2s and only 12K miles? All recalls done (ignition switch, ground spider) + has the updated ECU with fix for the altitude compensation glitch. Lemeno by PM.

I stopped in at Fuel Coffee for the pre-ride gathering. Pretty cool time with just about any type of bike you'd want to see. Didn't go on the ride (I'm not a big fan of parade-style rides surrounded by people I don't normally ride with...I know, lame). You can get the same kind of vibe just about any warm Saturday morning stopping in at Fuel. I'd recommend it just for fun if you haven't been yet.

Politely disagree. I wear 'em under mesh gear and they cool great as long as yer moving. Do agree you gotta have air movement to work. EDIT: Also could see where shittygsxr has a valid point: if yer sweating more heavily than what evaporation can wick away, yer gonna drip. It's not particularly absorbent; doesn't mean it isn't cooling.

I've got a few of these--shorts, tee, skull cap--and they work great for wicking and cooling. Prolly not as rugged as the UA stuff, but less than half price when on sale. Pretty bike! NADA lists your bike at Low/High Retail of $3160/$4155. KBB lists your bike at Trade In/Retail of $2810/$4095. At $3Gs, he's getting a killer deal with those low miles on a super clean bike. On the other hand, if you're hot to sell and buy your upgrade and he's got cash in hand, you're the one who has to decide if you're in that much of a hurry. If you don't have your replacement bike already spec'd, I'd say leave it on the market for awhile and see what the spring season brings. The downside of doing this is that small bikes are definitely a depreciable market item, and if you hold on too long, the price is gonna keep going down. If it was me--I'm assuming you're not selling this to a "friend" who'd be gettin' a great deal--I'd settle for splitting the difference and counter at $3300-3400 or thereabouts. Your call. Oh, and keep your helmet.

Welcome. You are in a great location for some back road thrashing! There aren't quite as many folks from Cinti on OR as there are from the C-bus area, but we've some great roads, especially across the river in KY. There's a couple of local Cinti-based forums that you should join to hook up with riders: Assfault Junkies <http://www.assfaultjunkies.com/> is pretty active with a lot of young riders and racers that hit the backwoods every weekend, and LocalRiders <http://www.localriders.com/> that's not as large a forum and less active but also a great place to watch for posted rides and routes. Shit-load less drama than AFJ, too. Hope we get to hook up for some twisted fun this summer! ADD: In addition to what 3.504 mentioned below, there's also a weekly 8-12 Saturday morning gathering, kind'a informal, at Fuel Coffee on Eastern Ave. This time of year, it's mostly cars, but once the weather changes, bikes start to show up. Anything from moto to vintage can be found, and with warmer temps, a group ride frequently takes off after the meet breaks up. Fuel typically has spring and a fall bike-only meets on some Sundays, and there's usually at least one or two Mods 'n' Rockers meet through the year as well where you can hang out with scooter trash. Of course, there's always the QS&L Bike nights at either Milford or Colerain, but not much riding goes on at those.
