As of now information is less and ever evolving.

without sticking to current statistics and ratio I will give an imaginary scenario

    island with 100 people

Let’s say covid can Infect about 60 of them easy- we can never say who it’s going to infect

of the 60 infected 30 will be okay can walk around spreading more 20 sick stay home 5 will need hospital and 5 icu.

and in this island there is only one ventilator

all that we are trying to do is to slow Down the rate of transmission to a point that the 5 that will show up for the vent shows up over a period of 5 to 10 weeks instead of all coming together in 1-5 days which means almost all dead.

And the only way to achieve this is by slowing down the initial infection, and the subsequent spread from the infected.

Even if a person with virus inside is not actively coughing and sneezing his oral nasal mucosa and saliva mucus secretions etc still can shed virus which at present seems to be pretty contagious.

many young people who have the virus and can continue functioning will continue to have fun roam around touch everything and once a little old Lady is at the right place and the right time Will end up with a wrong fate

    This didn't help either: https://www.weaselzippers.us/445796-taiwan-says-it-warned-who-about-coronavirus-in-december-but-its-warnings-were-ignored

Good information is very helpful bad info is not.

No wonder people didn't take this seriously until it was a little late.

The powers that be told us all was well, no need to panic, so we didn't .

    Now... Everybody PANIC!!!

<sarcasm>New at 11pm! Gunfight at Walmart! SWAT team called in to protect the toilet paper! Film at 11!!!!! </sarcasm>

  2. I've bee following this thread and had a thought, The most fun ride   -  OR group ride -  I can recall was the scavenger hunt ride of, well many years ago. The idea was that we were in small groups, 5-10 bikes. The goal was not the ride itself but the destination. It was goofy enough to be fun with only occasional mach retard opportunities. It also had group conferences just to find a destination with riders switching off who was leading based on who knew where we were going or what we were going for. Perhaps a change in the focus of what a ride _is_ might help. IDK just a thought.

    Not this:

  3. I bought one from Amazon a while back. Haven't needed it yet, I have had the thought that if I needed it I would still have to take off the seat etc just to get to the battery.

Has anybody tried to make a wiring harness that could be mounted to the bike so you could just plug in the jump starter kinda like a battery tender trickle charger?

  4. Because science.

We’ve all felt it before: this uncontrollable need to smile, breathing in the air of freedom, feeling the interior peace and weightlessness that comes with being on the road and sharing a moment alone with yourself to the sound of a mix of exhaust note and wind. This might all sound a little sappy and over-poeticized, but you know exactly the feeling I’m describing and als know that very little can compare. Apparently, it’s not just a “feeling”—riding actually is good for us.

  5. It was only a matter of time.....

Designer and artist Jonathan Brand has created a 3D printed motorcycle that gearheads, motorcycle enthusiasts, 3D printing fans, and interior designers will all appreciate.

From his studio in New Haven, CT, Jonathan Brand has printed out a full-scale replica 3D printed motorcycle based on a classic: a 1970’s Honda CB 500 universal Japanese motorcycle (UJM). The bike was made primarily from ultra thin translucent plastic by two of Brand’s Ultimaker 3D printers.

  6. Proof that there is no such thing as voter fraud. It's legit and Democrat approved so it must be legal.

I plan on voting in the next elections in Mexico, Venezuela and Canada. Fair is fair, they vote here, I vote there.

I cant wait to vote on Brexit! Or immigration in Germany and Sweden. Trade tariffs in China, the possibilities are endless.

Damn! It's good to be a voter without borders!

  7. Self-driving cars have quickly moved from a far-out idea to a here-and-now reality. Now one German automaker has built a self-driving motorcycle — one that can start, accelerate, steer and brake to stop, all without a rider.

No one is looking to fill the roads with riderless motorcycles. Rather, BMW sees its autonomous motorcycle as a test bed for technologies that would improve the safety and handling of conventional motorcycles.

“We want to teach the motorcycle how to ride a bike,” said Stefan Hans, the engineer who leads the self-driving motorcycle project for BMW Motorrad, the company's motorcycling division.

  8. In March 2018, Scottish beer company BrewDog launched a campaign for the “world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel,” complete with taps in all the rooms, mini-fridges stocked with beer in the showers, and a spa that uses beer-infused products.

Fast forward 17 months later and the 32-room hotel is now inviting guests to “the world’s first beer hotel where you can wake up inside a brewery.”

Starting Monday, Aug. 27, craft beer lovers can expect to be greeted by a whole host of “rocking amenity options” at The DogHouse in Columbus, Ohio.

  9. Interesting..... Nice features

Harley GPS / Trip Planner on board

" Fancy Harleys will now get a 6.5-inch Gorilla Glass’d infotainment screen that is supposed to work just like a smartphone, responding to pinches and swipes and stuff. It’s apparently tangibly better than the outgoing system: start-up time drops from 21 seconds to 10 seconds, route calculation time is reduced from 10 seconds to 2.5 seconds versus the outgoing 6.5GT system. Solid improvement. ..."

  10. I have a thorens td-166 with a few accessorizes,

Yours  for the pithy price of $200.00 with a selection of cartridges and this includes a sunus blue as well as a few others.

To be fair the belt is dead and needs replaced. PRB.com should solve that problem.

Ah, if you are even interested

  11. You'll be needing a sub-woofer with the magnepans. An electronic cross-over to adjust the roll off for the sub and a  multi amp set up would be a nice touch. No real recommendation on the brand of equipment you should get but it's worth thinking about in the final design. Looking for a nice turntable?
