  1. Quaker State night would be ok and so would the average persons commute to work. ORDN Epic rides would be out for almost all of us.

Aside from the eco perspective there doesn't seem to be an advantage to electric bikes at this time. Disadvantage is charging time and availability.

Of course as battery tech changes and there are actual charging stations available perhaps cost of ownership might come down.

I wonder how it will all shake out as electric vehicles are being promoted in every segment of the vehicle market from cars to tractor trailers.

I don't think insurance will come down though. Another curiosity would be about self driving cars and the "Who dies" algorithm as another future concern.

Some days, when things go weird on two wheels, I just turn around and go home. I'm a firm believer that it won't get any better sometimes. You can sort of tell if it's a one off event, or destined to be tricky/risky all day. The greater the "unexpected" part is, the more likely I'll call it off. But the good news is, that doesn't happen very often. So I'm ok with cancelling a ride occasionally.

I'm with you on this one. Some days more people than usual try to kill you. Take the bike home and wait for a better day.

I may not understand this fully because I'm new to it but we owed $54. Then I added the deductions for the two kids being born, student loan interest and mortgage interest and BOOM hello $3k in my pocket for a family vacation this year that the government wasn't getting directly from me

Might this be a govt subsidy of future taxpayers and certain industries such as banking?

Where does the FED get the money to loan the US Govt from?

I know, big questions with little answers, just want to see what people say

A little Chicago humor. Apparently the Chicago media doesn't like Chicago politics too much. Ran an article stating that if we get rid of evil historical stuff, the Democratic Party has to go. Being the historical party of all that nasty stuff.

While we're toppling offensive symbols, what about the Democratic Party? - Chicago Tribune

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street and building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And that process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

    George Orwell. "1984."

So true and up to the minute, oh wait written when?

I've been reading up about mass hysteria. Pretty much what we're dealing with. Not much that can be done about it either. Other than don't fall victim to it yourself.
